Taking your shirt off is a booking because it stops people displaying political messages. It's a ridiculous law. Swearing at the ref is fine though...

Frank ..its 2-0 not 4-0...an 18 year old sub?..hope this doesnt back fire.

    Steve

    Make that 2-1, Steve.

  2. goal

GOAL - Hull 1-2 Chelseapublished at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Kamil Grosicki (78 mins)

Game on! Hull get a free-kick on the edge of the area, not sure there was a great deal of contact but it's dangerous. Kamil Grosicki tries to whip it around the wall, it looks like it's going wide before it hits Mateo Kovacic and flies into the opposite corner.

    Twelve minutes to get another!

    Hull 0-2 Chelsea

If you are going to venture upfield, you might as well make it count.

That's what Fikayo Tomori did with his one and only visit into the Hull penalty area.

A cracking drive through the middle. He's like a Championship Gareth Bale.

  6. CLOSE!published at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-2 Chelsea

Aaah that's almost three! Lovely football now from Chelsea as they purr into about third gear, they play in Pedro inside the full-back, he chips the keeper but it's side-netting and not back of the net.

Grant McCann is fuming with that, out to the edge of his technical area to berate somebody.

    Hull 0-2 Chelsea

The difference is, in the first 20 minutes you saw Kane and Lopes going tight against Barkley and Mount. Now they're not doing that - so every ball that Chelsea clear, instead of Hull picking it up, Chelsea pick it up.

It's become what we call a gun and run game, you attack then we attack. And Chelsea are far better at attacking.

Is Billy Gilmour the first Premier League player to be named after two Adam Sandler films? Niche. He starts a move which ends with Chelsea winning a corner. Tidy little player.

  9. CLOSE!published at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-2 Chelsea

Ooh that's nice, Willian weaves past a man and plays it to Pedro on the left-hand side of the box and he sneaks a low shot across goal and narrowly, narrowly wide of the corner.

Hull have 20 minutes left to rescue this. Doesn't look likely at the moment, that second goal was key.

Have never understood why that's a booking.

Greg Morter: Rules need changing or refs to apply common sense. It's ridiculous that Yakou Meite today got booked for taking off shirt and showing a message in tribute to his late father.

    Hull 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea send on Willian and Billy Gilmour for Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi - who isn't overly pleased about coming off.

Hull send on Josh Magennis. Used to be a keeper, now a striker. Also on is Martin Samuelsen. Off go Tom Eaves and George Honeyman.

  15. 'It's a basic goal'published at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-2 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

It's just a basic goal, a basic set play, a basic ball in between the back line and the goalkeeper. Fikayo Tomori's held his nerve and it's a great delivery from Ross Barkley. But Chelsea have got their second goal not from great play but through basics, and Hull have conceded through bad defending.

  16. goal

GOAL - Hull 0-2 Chelseapublished at 18:53 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Fikayo Tomori (64 mins)

There you go Dan! Chelsea have again scored with their first chance of the half. Hull will be kicking themselves though as it's the sort of ball that should be meat and drink for Championship defenders. Just a free-kick into the mixer, nobody goes with England defender Fikayo Tomori and he plants a header down and in.

Played for Hull on loan once, as well.

Dan Ullyatt: I can see Hull equalising late on and the same old press conference from Lampard to follow...need a second goal.

  18. Postpublished at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea's last attempt on goal was in first-half stoppage time as Eric Lichaj goes in the book for raking down Mason Mount.

He got a dog with some FA Cup heroics once. Wonder what he's on for today?

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren

This is their opportunity, Hull - they're on top, Grosicki is a big threat and has quality and ability. Chelsea will be a little worried about this.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Here he is - Kamil Grosicki is the man on for Hull, replacing Mallik Wilks. A big roar of appreciation from the stands for the Poland man.
