Terence Kongolo, take a bow. It's a brilliant tackle from Fulham's debutant as he comes crunching in to deny Gabriel Jesus with a sliding tackle a few yards out.

He gets a pat on the back from his teammates.

City have taken the foot off the gas this second half, which is understandable. Players automatically conserve energy at times when you are comfortable in a game.

David Silva is a joy to watch. He touches it on first time to Gabriel Jesus but the Brazilian is offside.

Moments later, Raheem Sterling gets through on the right - again, Silva with the pass - but he blasts it onto the upperside of the crossbar.

Surely this game [Tranmere v Manchester United] is perfect to let Gomes and Chong prove what they can do with 1st team regulars like Pereira and Lingard struggling for form? Wasn't that the whole point of letting Lukaku Sanchez and Herrera leave due to the emergence of these youngsters? And why are we playing 5 at the back against a league 1 side?

Pep getting a bit frustrated. His team should be 5-0 up by now in all fairness!

He could have hit it David Silva, it was there to be hit. He just tried to put in one last dummy before putting it in the net. A sublime take though.

Tranmere v Man Utd (15:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Prenton Park

Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is not going to be at Tranmere.

He was also missing on business when United lost to Burnley and so many home fans chanted against him and the club's owners, the Glazer family.

There will be just over 2,000 United fans here for today's game. It will be interesting to see what their reaction is.

    Hit it!

David Silva takes the ball well on the run, just outside the box. He should hit it first time but instead tries to fool the defender with a shimmy and gets tackled.

It's a bit flat at the moment. You can hear the players talking to each other. The game is just petering out, it's got that training ground feel about it.

David Silva plays it through to Gabriel Jesus down the middle and he moves it onto Riyad Mahrez.
