Southport's finest - Shaun Whalley - almost makes an immediate impact! He gets away down the left and looks through on goal but the offside flag goes up.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer went straight over to the Manchester United fans, applauding them. He will be over the moon. They are in the hat, which is the most important thing, but also got a clean sheet, different goalscorers and a confidence-boosting performance for certain individuals out there today. So it's a good day for Ole today.

    Shrewsbury v Liverpool (17:00 GMT)

When Liverpool's players emerge from the tunnel at Montgomery Waters Meadow, they will be forgiven for glancing over at the safe-standing section of Shrewsbury Town's home and wondering why the green, gold and red flag of Grenada billows proudly in the Shropshire breeze.

The small Caribbean island with a population not much greater than that of the Midlands market town not only boasts three senior internationals among the League One side's squad but also, having flown in especially for the FA Cup fourth-round fixture, one of the club's newest and most ardent supporters.

The sides have only ever met once before, with Liverpool winning an FA Cup fourth-round tie 4-0 at the Shrews' old Gay Meadow home in February 1996. The Reds went on to reach the final that year.

Shrewsbury's sole win in seven matches in all competitions was their FA Cup second-round replay win over Bristol City (D4, L2).

They have been eliminated from the FA Cup by Premier League opponents in three of the past four seasons: Manchester United in 2015-16, West Ham in 2017-18 and Wolves in 2018-19.

    Simon Stone

It has been a good day on the pitch for Manchester United but those chants from earlier cannot be ignored.

This was no social media protest. Away fans at any club are regarded as the most hard core.

United are yet to make a signing this month. I am not totally convinced the arrival of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes - if it happens - will sort this out.

    Tranmere 0-6 Man Utd

In response to the question from "Man Utd fan" (4.39pm) - Manchester United have had six different goalscorers in a game for the first time since 1892, when they won 10-1 against Wolves (also six different scorers).

The last time there were six different scorers in the FA Cup was more recent - Manchester City v Rotherham in Jan 2019.

Great feet from Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, who keeps the ball on the edge of the United area before slipping it right.

The cross eventually comes in but it's headed away and United break through Tahith Chong.

    Shrewsbury v Liverpool (17:00 GMT)

There are 59 league places below Shrewsbury Town and Liverpool.

The League One side currently sit 16th in the table and will face a tough task against Premier League leaders Liverpool, who are 16 points clear at the top of the pyramid.

The Reds navigated past rivals Everton in the third round with mostly academy players in a very impressive display, while Shrewsbury left it very late. They needed a replay to get past Bristol City and won it 1-0 with a goal in the 89th minute.

Tahith Chong is absolutely rapid isn't he. Tranmere defenders didn't expect him to hit that so quickly. A quick punch and it's come off the crossbar. He has looked really exciting since he has come on. A bundle of energy.

Good defending from Tranmere, who have three players over in the left corner bustling away with Tahith Chong and Jesse Lingard.

It's eventually hoofed away down the line.

The real dilemma of whether to stick with Ole, is missing out on Poch. It's a big call to let him go elsewhere when Utd could easily be no further forward a year from now.
