GOAL - MOTHERWELLpublished at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Christopher Long

You can't say it's not been coming.

Shaun Byrne bundles over Liam Polworth on the edge of the box. The hosts complain, but Christopher Long doesn't care as he steps up to smash the free-kick into the net. It takes a big deflection off Graham Dorrans as the Dundee wall disintegrates and the former Rangers man turns his back.

  2. Dundee given encouragementpublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Dundee 0-0 Motherwell

The hosts take their turn to threaten.

A slack ball out from the back puts Motherwell on the back foot. It's Hartley who is wasteful again, with the ball eventually being worked to Declan McDaid. In the end his shot is harmless, but a warning shot for the Premiership side.

It's a big chance. Great run on the wing and Polwarth timed his run to perfection. He's just tried to side foot it but he's put it straight at Hamilton. A wee bit more pace and either side of the goalkeeper and it's in.

  4. CLOSE!published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Dundee 0-0 Motherwell

    Mothewell turning the screw here.

Richard Tait cuts a tremendous ball into the box from out on the right. Liam Polworth peels off his man but the Scottish Cup winner's connection is tame, allowing Jack Hamilton to gather. A more solid touch - or perhaps an even softer one - and that's in.

Moments later, James Scott cuts in from the rigth and curls a great shot just wide of the far post.

  5. Steady...published at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Dundee 0-0 Motherwell

Err, Motherwell captain Peter Hartley causing problems in his own defence. The centre-half's risky back pass puts Mark Gillespie under pressure to clear, before Hartley then shells a long ball to Dundee.

Less than a minute later, the big defender strides forward and smashes a shot that almost ended up in goal at Tannadice.

Let it not be said that he's not fired up...

    Dundee 0-0 Motherwell

A large Motherwell crowd set off pyrotechnics behind the Dundee goal.

Their team have probably started the brightest at Dens, an early corner being headed over. Steady stuff so far from both teams.

    Dundee v Motherwell (19:20)

Since Hibernian's Scottish Cup win in 2016, the baton for the longest wait to regain the trophy has fallen to Dundee. Will this be the start of their run to glory?

  15. CLOSE!published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Patrick Thistle 0-2 Celtic

Nearly a third goal for the visitors as Odsonne Edouard barrels his way past a couple of defenders then drags a shot inches wide. The ball just won't go in for the French striker tonight.

Celtic then make their second change, with Tom Rogic off for Daniel Arzani to make his first appearance since October 2018.

  16. 'Crucial goal'published at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Partick Thistle 0-2 Celtic

    Pat Bonner

    Quote Message

I don't think Scott Fox could do anything about it. It's a crucial goal for Celtic, and the new striker will come on without any pressure on him at 2-0. He's only come into the Polish team this year, and now he's made the big move there'll be a lot expected of him. Let's see how he performs.

  17. Postpublished at 19:08 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Partick Thistle 0-2 Celtic

New Celtic signing Patryk Klimala is on for his debut, the Polish striker replacing goal hero Leigh Griffiths.

  18. Partick Thistle 0-2 CELTICpublished at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Callum McGregor

Just as Thistle were beginning to believe, their hopes are dashed. Callum McGregor's strike takes a nick off Thomas O'Ware to leave Scott Fox helpless in the Jags goal.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Celtic

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is given far too much space to bring the ball down inside the box and his volley is tipped on to the bar by Scott Fox.

  20. Postpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Celtic

Good hustle from home midfielder Craig Slater down the right wins a corner and leads to a shooting opportunity for Thomas O'Ware, who volleys over. Much more promising from the Championship strugglers.
