Laporte coming off is a big blow, but Fernandinho is a wonderful player and a great leader and hopefully he can get up to speed very quickly.

Fernandinho comes on for Aymeric Laporte, who has had so many injury problems this season.

Very worrying times for Manchester City as Aymeric Laporte needs treatment. He's able to walk off the pitch but that's the end of his day.

An excellent header from Benzema and there was Ederson with a wonderful save. I was asked about Ederson's concentration last week against West Ham when there were no shots on target but he showed his quality there.

Great play and great awareness from Benjamin Mendy to find De Bruyne, but that's where you would have fancied De Bruyne to hit the target.

Lyon defender Marcelo is booked for leaving an arm into the face of Paulo Dybala.

City are starting to show some good movement. Benjamin Mendy crosses into the box, Kevin de Bruyne steps over it and it runs to Riyad Mahrez, who plays the ball into the path of De Bruyne, who shoots over.

Excellent play by City left winger Gabriel Jesus as he flies down the side and goes past Dani Carvajal - but he runs into another Real defender and loses the ball.
