    Derby 3-1 Northampton

Wayne Rooney has a shot from about 25 yards out, easily saved.

  4. CLOSE!published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Liverpool 0-0 Shrewsbury

Liverpool attacking the Kop in the second half.

They win an early corner and it drops nicely for full-back Nico Williams, but he cannot keep his effort down.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Liverpool 0-0 Shrewsbury

    Off we go again.

What's a shock here, Liverpool winning or Shrewsbury winning?

  6. CLOSE!published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Birmingham 0-1 Coventry

Oh, they really should have put this game to bed.

Maxime Biamou is free and unmarked inside the area, he latches onto a cross from the right from Fankaty Dabo but screws his first-time shot into the stand from the centre of goal.

  7. 'High line only way back into the game'published at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Michael Appleton
Ex-Oxford United manager on BBC One

For as much as the high line has been a problem for Oxford in the first half, it's their only way back into the game because it's the only way you're going to push the likes of Matt Ritchie on to you, so if you get your full-backs high and wide, you're going to get opportunities to put that ball into the box. When the ball has gone into the box - set-plays, corners or from crosses, that's where it's caused Newcastle a little bit of a problem.

    Birmingham 0-1 Coventry

"We're coming for you, Leicester City, we're coming for you," sing the Coventry fans who are making all the noise at St Andrew's.

They travelling Sky Blues supporters are turning this into a home game.

    Oh wait...

  9. CLOSE!published at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Cardiff 2-0 Reading

Reading close to pulling a goal back after a fine, team move but Sone Aluko's drive is pushed away by Neil Etheridge.

It is recycled and Aluko attempts an acrobatic finish, but completely misses the ball.

Think Omid Djalili in Mean Machine.

    Derby 3-1 Northampton

A Wayne Rooney corner crosses round the box and Northampton just about hack it away.

    Dafydd Pritchard

That is a very nicely worked goal from Cardiff.

Sol Bamba sets the move in motion as he nicks possession and feeds Will Vaulks.

The Wales midfielder then plays a one-two with Gavin Whyte before producing a beautiful lofted pass with the outside of his right boot to free Robert Glatzel, who finishes calmly.

As Alan Partridge would say: "'Lovely stuff. Not my words, Michael. The words of Shakin Stevens."

    Oxford 0-2 Newcastle

Oxford had seven shots in that first half to four for Newcastle. Two shots on target each. But Newcastle's finishing was much better.

Just a shame for the U's that Joelinton found his shooting boots today.

  14. 'Newcastle were up for it'published at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    HT: Oxford 0-2 Newcastle

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle and England striker on BBC One

Steve Bruce and the Newcastle players will be delighted with that. When you come to lower league clubs, it's all about your attitude and Newcastle started the game very, very well. Everyone was at it, they knew they were in for a fight and they were up for it.

Their performance in that first half was much, much better - two goals and created another two or three very good chances.

In fairness to Oxford, they have come back into the game. Once Newcastle got their second goal, they came at them and created two or three really good chances themselves.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Derby 3-1 Northampton

First booking in this game as Ryan Watson slides in late on Derby's Duane Holmes.

After a slow start to the second half the hosts are back in control of this game, no doubt helped by getting that third goal for some breathing space.

  16. goal

GOAL - Birmingham 0-1 Coventrypublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Amadou Bakayoko (51 mins)

    Deadlock broken at St Andrew's.

This goal is not winning any beauty contests, the travelling Coventry fans won't care.

Amadou Bakayoko is slipped through on goal by Zain Westbrooke and it looks like his initial effort has been saved by Lee Camp, but it loops up off the goalkeeper and drops into an opennet.

GOAL - Derby 3-1 Northamptonpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Jack Marriott (51 mins)

Derby are in control again. Jack Marriott's header from Chris Martin's cross is almost excellently saved by David Cornell but the loose ball crosses the line.

Scott Malone boots the ball into the net to make sure but it had already gone in for Marriott's goal.

Boos from the Oxford fans at half-time, presumbaly for the officials.

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC One

Alex Gorrin's free-kick tells you everything about the quality between the two teams tonight - you've got to make it count. He's got the technical ability, it was in a good area but he just hasn't made it happen.
