Oxford are playing some good football - which is what they do here - but when they give it away they are being punished by Newcastle.

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Kassam Stadium

There have been plenty of justified questions asked about Joelinton after the £40m striker's struggles this season but that was a composed finish - the sort to rebuild his fragile confidence.

    Oxford 0-2 Newcastle

Joelinton has both scored and assisted in the same game for the first time since January 2019 for Hoffenheim against Freiburg in the Bundesliga.

He's down holding his side again though.

    Oxford 0-2 Newcastle

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC One

It's great movement and Joelinton just gets the other side of Dickie, calm run and slots it home perfectly. Everything there he does perfectly well and it's a wonderful finish. Steve Bruce has picked a really strong team and deserves what he gets at the moment.

GOAL - Oxford 0-2 Newcastlepublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2020

    Joelinton (30 mins)

Game over? Oxford want a free-kick as Marcus Browne goes down under pressure from Miguel Almiron.

Seam Longstaff pumps the ball forward to Joelinton, who runs in from the halfway line past Rob Dickie and then slots it past Simon Eastwood.

Oxford are still appealing but no VAR at the Kassam Stadium.

Jonny Winterburn: Loving the Liverpool squad numbers tonight. Surely the highest ever aggregate of any squad in the history of the FA Cup?!

Understand Klopp giving his seniors a holiday, they do need it. BUT Klopp should be at the match for the kids. I feel it sets a bad example. Come on Shrews.

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC One

It seems strange to say this about a Premier League team but Newcastle are growing in confidence. They're passing the ball and finding those little movements around one another. When you've spent half the season without the ball, it's almost something brand new for you.

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

It's been a reasonably bright opening 45 minutes at Cardiff City Stadium, perhaps the most entertaining of the three matches these two sides have fought between each other over the past 10 days.

Josh Murphy's goal for Cardiff is the difference at the moment, though Reading have had a handful of chances.

The winner of this match will host Sheffield United in the fifth round.
