What a header from Bjorn Engels! Six yards ouit, level with the far post, launches himself into it and gets above everybody and it's an amazing save - and he gets it to safety as well, which is absolutely brilliant. Wow, Claudio Bravo, what a save!

Bjorn Engels leaps like a salmon in a claret t-shirt and nods it at goal... Claudio Bravo is in flight... hands on it... on to the post.

That was the moment. It had to go in.

Manchester City are within five minutes of a seventh League Cup success. The tally would put them two ahead of Manchester United and one behind Liverpool.

Villa are looking a bit leggy now. They haven't had the ball much, therefore you have to do a lot of running, a lot of closing down. It's really hard on the calves and you get fatigued - and that's when the mistakes creep in.

That means each side has made three changes so if there's an injury now and Villa force extra time then someone is going down to 10 perhaps.

Manchester City have a free-kick on halfway. The life is being sucked out of Dean Smith's side and you just can't see where they can muster something from. They have been passengers in this second half but this is Wembley and a cup final, so who knows?

For my money Manchester City have had 11 corners to Villa's one today.

Bernardo Silva is finding some really intelligent positions. The Villa defenders aren't quite sure what to do, but he always finds an end product. Villa are holding on.

Kevin De Bruyne has been a big influence since he's come on and drives Manchester City forward again. Bernardo Silva takes over, into the box, chipped to the back stick for AGUERO... volleyed into the side netting.

A close shave for Villa and Aguero is holding his shin having collided with a defender. He's hobbling but don't be fooled by it... he'd still put you to the sword even with a niggle.

Keinan Davis is on for the scorer of Aston Villa's goal Mbwana Samatta.

Absolutely outstanding footballer, David Silva, great to watch. Never looks out of breath, never looks out of control. What a servant for Manchester City, and what a player that the Premier League has been fortunate to see.
