My word that was some play from Jack Stephens. Cut the ball out on the halfway line, carried it into midfield and just kept going. Norwich's midfield evaporated, he ran on and then slid a pass to Danny Ings on the left of the area.

Stephens was denied a real career-highlight assist though as Ings rattled the top of the bar. Unlucky!

Emi Buendia was a steal for Norwich at £1.5m from the second division in Spain.

When he came in people were asking, who is he?!

Timm Klose is touch tight, tighter, on Michael Obafemi and the Saints striker goes down after a nudge in the back. Nothing doing but a risk from the centre-half.

Obafemi then spins in behind and has a shooting chance but he can only scoop over the top from a very tough angle.

Really intelligent from Southampton.

Stuart Armstrong was loitering on the edge of the box but he did not get a good connection on it.

I've seen him strike them really well in the past for Celtic.

I don't think he is playing in his preferred position at the moment though.

That's nice! Saints whip in a low corner from the right, a shot comes in but it's pretty much straight at Tim Krul.

Saints much more on top now though as we reach the half hour.

I've switched feeds so I've got the fake crowd on now. I'm a fan in general and as I said earlier, the Bundesliga one is superb. This is a bit mid 90s console game though.

Norwich just headed out a Saints corner and there was an 'Ooohhhh' on a 10-second delay.

Norwich will be disappointed, they had a chance through Tom Trybull but Southampton have grown in the half.

They look a threat on the break, we have not seen much of Michael Obafemi but he does have the electric pace to trouble the Norwich defenders.

There will be interest in him and sporting director Stuart Webber says there is a need for players to play. He will not want to sell even if they go down and it is no good sitting on the bench at a Premier League club.

So sharp, Danny Ings. He nicks the ball from Ben Godfrey and then puts the hammer down to sprint clear. He gets a shot off, left peg, but Godfrey has done really well to get back and charge it down.

Southampton definitely growing into the game. They press high up the park and Timm Klose tries a Cruyff turn tight to the touchline and loses out. Know your role Timm.

There is talk of a falling out between Southampton midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, with a move to Tottenham apparently at advanced stages.
