City have picked up where they left off. Jesus has a shot blocked before Sterling goes on the charge, getting to the edge of the Reds box before unleashing a shot that deflects wide.

Then, moments after seeing the resulting corner cleared, Foden steers a shot that would have found the bottom corner had Virgil van Dijk not been there to hammer clear.

When was the last time we saw Liverpool as ruffled as this?
