I'll stay around and bring you the reaction from the Lane but there's a game between two big guns about to get under way.

Phil Dawkes is being parachuted in to talk you through that one...

That was a fantastic performance by Sheffield United even when they were under pressure. Their back five stayed firm. A real good shape and team effort. Spurs played in front of them with no real conviction and didn't create enough opportunities.

Not many people would have had Burnley level with Spurs at the start of the season, I'd wager.

You put the ball in an area and give him opportunities. Finally.

We've mentioned wide areas and it was Son who crossed. A simple tap-in for Kane.

    Harry Kane (90 mins)

Harry Kane does have his goal! That makes me feel a bit better about benching two Sheffield United defenders in my fantasy side, anyway.

It's a good goal actually, the ball lofted over the top in to Son's run, he pulls it across goal and Kane is there for a tap-in.

    Sheffield United 3-0 Tottenham

Fantastic goal. It comes down to desire and enthusiasm from a team who never want to give up. Sander Berge whips the ball in. Oli McBurnie is at the front post not giving anything up. Fantastic ball, great run.

This Spurs side have all the quality and ability but they haven't matched it with energy.

Tottenham should have been level at 1-1, let's have that in the open, but even so it has been a really poor display from the men in softmint blue.

That noise you heard was the collective switching off of tellies from Spurs fans everywhere. I won't watch them again this season I don't think. Not only has Mourinho completely blunted our attack, he's totally failed to sort out our woeful defence. The experiment is over. Cut ties and get rid of him and let's see if we can beg Pochettino to come back

    Jon Spurs fan in Eastleigh:

Mourinho was famous for winning titles with attractive football, then he started parking the bus, now he can't even do that. Time to retire?

I may have said that Sander Berge loses the ball at times but his goal and assist this evening have both been outstanding. I stand well and truly corrected.

    Oli McBurnie (84 mins)

Sander Berge! That was sensational! George Baldock plays the ball inside to the big man, who shrugs off Son tight to the deadball line and then plonks a perfect cutback to Oli McBurnie.

Almost Giroud-esque finish from the former Swansea man, who flicks it in with the outside of his foot. Just used the pace on the pass.

To answer Michael Brown's question Spurs are playing with as many number 10s as Everton signed that one season. About five behind Harry Kane, who fires into the net once again but, you guessed it, the whistle has gone for a push.

A bit less outcry about this Harry Kane strike being ruled out. The England skipper dinks in but he was well offside and everyone had already pulled up.

It's a question of what type of shape are Spurs playing with? Is it a back three? It's so disjointed.

Spurs are below Arsenal once again in the table now. Hardly a vintage season for either of the north London giants this year.

Can Spurs get back into the game? Doesn't look like it so far.

Just as Spurs are trying to bring on the artillery. It's all about wide areas for Sheffield United. Great run from the left by Ben Osborn. The ball across by Enda Stevens was right into Lys Mousset's path.

Who’s marking Mousset for his tap-in? Poor defending from Spurs.

It was a matter of time - before the Blades doubled their lead! Incisive, cracking goal but Spurs are statues out there. Oli McBurnie starts it with a corking ball out wide to Enda Stevens, he's able to craft a one-two with Ben Osborn and the left-back then pops it across for Lys Mousset to tap in from a few yards out.
