However, when the Baggies do get the ball and break, they're ever so threatening. Kamil Grosicki clips an effort from outside the box well over the crossbar, from the latest half-chance.

The rain is so heavy at The Hawthorns, we can hear it hammering down on the roof of the stand.

  12. Postpublished at 15 mins

    West Brom 1-0 Derby

There's a long way to go, but the as-it-stands Championship table now has West Brom top of the pile, above Leeds, who host Stoke tomorrow.

  13. CHANCE!published at 14 mins

GOAL: West Brom 1-0 Derbypublished at 11 mins

    Grady Diangana

A moment of Premier League quality gives promotion-chasing West Brom a vital lead. Kamil Grosicki plays a clever through ball in behind the Derby defence, picking out Grady Diangana's well-timed run in to the box, and Diangana takes a super touch around keeper Ben Hamer and then finds the net, in off the post.

It's ruthlessly clinical. Derby couldn't track his run and he appeared to just beat the offside trap. It was tight, but of course we've no VAR in the Championship, so no second look.

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

In case you weren't in the East Midlands on Saturday, Derby's last game ended in dramatic fashion, as Chris Martin's 97th-minute equaliser earned them a point in a 1-1 draw against fierce local rivals Nottingham Forest. It was just about as late as they come.

They've got some defending to do here now, but the Baggies' Kamil Grosicki curls over the bar after a neat move.

  16. CHANCE!published at 5 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

Derby look bright, in these opening few minutes. The first real chance falls their way but they can't capitalise from it.

Louie Sibley's low cross from the right picks out Duane Holmes in space at the back post, but he takes a touch and then his shot is blocked.

When he looks back, he might wish he'd struck that first-time.

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

Derby have won on both of their past two visits to The Hawthorns in all competitions, including a 4-1 thrashing in October 2018.

They've got the possession in the very early stages.

It is absolutely chucking it down at The Hawthorns. The players are out on the pitch in the pouring rain, ready for a very, very big game.

    Millwall 0-2 Middlesbrough

Millwall v BoroImage source, Rex Features

Big win for Middlesbrough who clamber out of the relegation zone for the time being at least and will now turn their attentions to Hull's game at Bristol City.

Touch of controversy about the first goal, was it a foul on Jake Cooper? The key thing is it wasn't given and subsequently Britt Assombalonga scored and the penalty from Ashley Fletcher was further salt in the wound.

Millwall were dogged and hard to break down but failed to really test Dejan Stojanovic. Have to pay credit to Neil Warnock, this was a defensive tactical masterclass.

Play-off hopes fading fast sadly for the Lions.
