    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Marek Rodak scuttles across his line to gather Matheus Pereira's curling free-kick. It's a shot, it's a start.

You wanted more venom there. It felt a bit tame.

Then Grady Diangana puts Pereira in again, he's come a long way to get the ball but airshots it completely.

Fair play to Harrison Reed who was a real distraction but it's not a great look for Brazilian Pereira.

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

West Brom work down the left with Grady Diangana slipping the pass inside the fullback to set Matheus Pereira away.

The cross fizzes across the six-yard box but no-one connects.

Not much goalmouth action to report at Reading, other than a corner for the hosts which Boro failed to clear initially, and then put their bodies on the line to block the subsequent efforts on goal.

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira gets chopped down by Michael Hector, and chucks himself about 10 foot in the air.

Hector sarcastically taps him and gets a word from the referee Geoff Eltringham. Eventually Pereira is back up and we can continue.

Jake Livermore gets a yellow on the back of a further surge by Fulham's Neeskens Kebano. West Brom players both fouled upon and fouling.

After his early goal, Kal Naismith looks for a second - he has a shot from outside of the box but it goes wide of the left post.

Hull have not got going here.

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Matt Phillips makes his first impression on the game, bombing down the right and swinging in a cross which is fielded at the near post.

Fulham get their own ball in from Neeskens Kebano but it too is hooked away.

    It is more open already.

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Aleksandar Mitrovic tries to turn a left-wing cross round the corner toward the West Brom goal but he's bravely blocked by Ahmed Hegazi who got his toe there first.

The big Serb's movement was sharp there.

Jake Livermore puts a stud or two into Josh Onomah's leg, and Matheus Pereira gets a booking following an inappropriate word or two.

Fulham put the free-kick in the box but it's no danger.

    Reading 0-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough began this game two points above the relegation zone and they've been doing all of the defending in the opening few minutes at the Madejski Stadium.

Before kick-off, Boro confirmed defender Ryan Shotton has played his last game for the club. Injury has kept the former Stoke and Birmingham man out of tonight's game and he is out of contract at the end of the season.

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

We're definitely back under way at The Hawthorns, as the audible roar of Slaven Bilic tells you as Charlie Austin is pinged for a foul in the Fulham half. "NO!"

He's a little happier moments later after neat interplay on the edge of the box sees Conor Townsend rap a cross in that is cleared by Tim Ream.

Pressure on here for the visitors as West Brom start with purpose.

A goal pretty much from the off at the DW Stadium and it's the perfect start for the home side.

A clipped ball in from Kieran Dowell after a short corner and Kal Naismith nods it in.

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 14 July 2020

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Players are back out at The Hawthorns, ready to get under way... West Brom get us going, with Matt Phillips on for Kamil Grosicki.

Which is also the case at the DW Stadium for Wigan v Hull - if it's as good as the 1985 rugby league Challenge Cup final that'd be nice.

And also, at Reading's Madjeski Stadium. Reading v Boro completes the trio.

Clearly, I want to see some goals.

I think Slaven Bilic would want to see West Brom be a bit more adventurous, not gung ho but to at least test out Fulham's defence a bit more. Be more direct, especially in terms of running at the back-four.

If Fulham are to put themselves in the automatic picture, they need to win here. That rather persuasive factor could see them cut loose a bit too.

One side just needs to release the shackles, and this will open up a bit. Here's hoping.

Wigan make just the one change to their starting XI from Saturday's goalless draw at Barnsley - Leon Balogun makes his return from injury to replace Danny Fox who was sent off at Oakwell, while Emeka Obi is involved for the first time on the bench.

Hull make three changes - Matthew Pennington, Jon Toral and Josh Magennis all return to the starting line-up, with Angus MacDonald, Kevin Stewart and Tom Eaves dropping to the bench.

    Reading v Middlesbrough (18:00 BST)

Reading make one change from Saturday's win at Reading - Liam Moore is in, replacing Pele.

Middlesbrough, beaten by Bristol City at the weekend, make four changes to their starting XI. Aynsley Pears returns in goal, while Anfernee Dijksteel, Marcus Tavernier and Patrick Roberts are all selected by Neil Warnock.

Not far off the 18:00 BST kick-offs either.

Let's get you some team news.

Tentative fare from these two teams, who while desperate to win are most certainly determined not to lose.

We've seen flashes, from Matheus Pereira and Anthony Knockaert respectively, but it's been cagey for the most part.

Fulham probably happier as the away side, although in this crowdless climate, I'm not sure how much sway you'd put on that.

    Goalless.

  17. Postpublished at 45 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Fulham come forward again with Bobby Decordova-Reid and Ahmed Hegazi heads clear.

Then Aleksandar Mitrovic connects with a header and it's cleared off the line!

Third crack at it for Fulham, Mitrovic nods this one wide.

  18. Postpublished at 45 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

This feels like it needs something to spark it into life. Something to get the adrenaline pumping.

I thought we'd got it a moment ago when Fulham's Anthony Knockaert piroutted his way forward and slipped the ball to Neeskens Kebano, who in turn got to the byline. His cross was a daisycutting disappointment.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 43 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Fulham forward Neeskens Kebano comes on for Ivan Cavaleiro, who seemed to tweak something earlier.

  20. Postpublished at 42 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Fulham

Tim Ream and Marek Rodak get in a pickle as the ball comes in from the left from Kamil Grosicki... they went for the same ball and neither really got it clear.

It looks nervy for Fulham as the ball is recycled on the right but Matheus Pereira sizes up the volley and drags it wide.

Disappointing finish for the home side.
