  1. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 2-1 Readingpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    John Swift (15 mins)

And just like that Reading are back in this.

John Swift scores a beautiful free-kick from 25 yards.

    Good game this.

    QPR 0-0 Millwall

A lot more riding on this game for Millwall rather than QPR as the Lions began two points off the top six.

Both keepers are yet to be troubled so far, though.

  3. goal

GOAL: Fulham 1-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Neeskens Kebano (11 mins)

Fulham grab an early lead in a game they'll need to win to keep their automatic promotion dream alive.

    Preston 0-0 Birmingham

Preston have only lost once in their past 12 league games against Birmingham.

It's been a relatively quiet start at Deepdale this afternoon, with Birmingham making most of the early running.

    Swansea 0-0 Bristol City

That goal for Cardiff won't have gone down well at the Liberty Stadium, where both sides still have hopes of sneaking into the play-offs.

Victory for Swansea would still give them a chance going into the final day but 10th-placed Bristol City are very much relying on results elsewhere.

  6. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 2-0 Readingpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Adam Armstrong (6 mins)

Blimey, no pressure on either side but Rovers are flying.

Joe Rothwell plays it to Adam Armstrong who finishes it well with a left-footed finish from just outside the box into the bottom-right hand corner.

Reading need to get going soon.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:06 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Hull 0-0 Luton

George Honeyman again goes close for Hull.

His tantalising cross doesn't get a touch but Simon Sluga has to bat the ball away to prevent Luton going behind.

Grant McCann's side have started well after their 8-0 mauling by Wigan on Tuesday.

  8. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 0-1 Cardiffpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Sean Morrison (4 mins)

Cardiff take an early lead against Middlesbrough, managed of course by their former boss Neil Warnock, and take a giant leap towards guaranteeing a play-off spot.

Captain Sean Morrison is completely unmarked and stoops to head in a left-wing corner.

  9. Postpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Fulham 0-0 Sheff Wed

After Brentford dropped points earlier, fourth-placed Fulham can keep themselves in the hunt for second spot on the final day if they can beat Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:04 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Hull 0-0 Luton

Luton keeper Simon Sluga is called into early action at the KCOM Stadium.

George Honeyman whips in a free-kick for Hull and the Croatian is forced to tip the ball over.

This game couldn't be any more massive. If either side lose they are all but down.

  11. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-0 Readingpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Ben Brereton (3 mins)

Perfect start for the hosts - Ben Brereton with a nice calm finish past Reading keeper Rafael Cabral.

  14. 'We didn't have the final ball'published at 14:56 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    FT: Stoke 1-0 Brentford

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been giving his reaction to Sky Sports after watching his side lose to Stoke and leave their automatic promotion dreams out of their hands.

Frank congratulated Leeds and his opposite number Marcelo Bielsa on their promotion and title triumph before talking about his side's defeat.

"We conceded one goal - they made it difficult with second balls, and on the ball it was difficult to break them down. We didn't have the final ball or touch," he said.

"Stoke had to defend like beasts and they did that as they needed to avoid relegation.

"We're ready to give it a go against Barnsley on Wednesday night, 100%."

  17. Championship team newspublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

Let's take a look ahead at a couple of the big 15:00 BST kick-offs.

Here's some of the headline team news...

    • Fulham make five changes as they look to keep the pressure on to finish in the top two - Neeskens Kebano, Stefan Johansen, Harry Arter, Maxime Le Marchand and Cyrus Christie all start to face a Sheffield Wednesday side who make two changes, with Alessio Da Cruz and Joey Pelupessy coming into their starting line-up.
    • Hull will want to put that 8-0 thrashing behind them in this huge relegation battle. The Tigers make six changes to their line-up with Matt Ingram making his first league start for the club and Callum Elder taking the captain's armband. They welcome a Luton side who equally need the win, with both sides fighting to get out of the drop zone - Glen Rea makes his return the the starting XI and in a late change Martin Cranie has come in to replace Dan Potts. Jacob Butterfield is now on the bench for the Hatters.
  18. Missed opportunities...published at 14:46 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Preston v Birmingham (15:00 BST)

    Paul Fletcher
    BBC Sport at Deepdale

A damp and rather flat Deepdale for the last home game of Preston’s regular season - and with North End five points off the top six with two matches remaining it is unlikely they will be returning here for the play-offs. North End have won one of their last 10 matches and failed to score in five of them. It is a story of missed opportunities.

Birmingham, five points above the bottom three, have Dortmund-bound Jude Bellingham back in their starting line-up today. The Blues are in even worse form than Preston, with one win in 13 league and cup games.

Goals aplenty on the cards then?

  19. Leeds 'will be good for Premier League' - Wilkinsonpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Leeds win Championship title

Championship title-winners Leeds United will benefit the Premier League in terms of brand and exposure after ending a 16-year exile, says former boss Howard Wilkinson.

Leeds' average home attendances exceed 35,000, while the legacy of previous success attracts worldwide support.

"It means more to the Premier League than maybe it does to Leeds," Wilkinson told BBC Sport.

"They'll bring a lot to the party, if they do well. They'll add to the attraction of that league, which is now a worldwide league in terms of spectators.

    FT: Charlton 2-2 Wigan

Here's what the draw at The Valley does to the bottom of the table.

Wigan are on 58 points, but they will lose 12 if the appeal against their points deduction for going into administration fails.

All eyes on the KCOM Stadium for a HUGE game between Hull and Luton, which gets under way in about 20 minutes.
