    FT: Charlton 2-2 Wigan

Macauley Bonne's late goal moves Charlton three points clear of the bottom three and they have a much better goal difference than the teams below them.

Wigan were so close to another priceless win, but they've now picked up eight points since they went in to administration on 1 July, moving them 13 points clear of the drop zone, with their appeal still pending.

It's all going down to the wire...

    FT: Stoke 1-0 Brentford

Brentford's defeat puts the second automatic promotion spot back in the destiny of West Bromwich Albion.

Fulham will keep themselves in the mix if they beat Sheffield Wednesday today.

However, once again, it seems like the Baggies' to lose.

Charlton's corner goes too deep and then Albie Morgan's second-phase cross is headed clear.

It comes back in again... But it's all over. A dramatic draw.

    Charlton 2-2 Wigan

Charlton, who conceded in the 93rd minute in their draw at Birmingham on Wednesday, grab a stoppage-time leveller of their own this time.

This incredible league continues to amaze with twist after twist.

The Brentford players have trooped off the field with their heads down.

It is quite amazing that they have failed today - when all they needed to do was win their last two games.

I cannot imagine West Brom will fail now - but will this affect Brentford heading into the play-offs?

    FT: Stoke 1-0 Brentford

The result at Stoke means Leeds can't be caught at the top of the Championship - they are the champions!

Well done to Marcelo Bielsa and his team.

As if they've not done enough celebrating over the past 24 hours...

GOAL: Charlton 2-2 Wiganpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Macauley Bonne (90+3 mins)

It's a massive goal at the bottom - Charlton are level and there's still time for more drama.

Just when you felt Wigan looked set to see the win out, Chuks Aneke does well in the air to flick on a long ball and Macauley Bonne provides the clinical finish straight in to the bottom corner.

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

    It's all over.

Have Brentford blown their best chance of promotion to the Premier League? Victory for West Brom against QPR on Wednesday will see the Baggies take second place at their expense.

Stoke take the points and are mathematically safe thanks to Lee Gregory's first-half tap-in.

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

Another Brentford corner, David Raya comes up again, but the ball is nodded wide for a goal kick.

    That must be it.

  11. Postpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Charlton 1-2 Wigan

Meanwhile, there'll be six minutes of added time at The Valley and Wigan are edging closer to another vital, vital win. Charlton need a goal for their own survival hopes, desperately.

I think that was the moment!

Makeshift striker Ethan Pinnock fires a fine half-volley but Stoke keeper Adam Davies tips it wide for a corner.

Brentford keeper David Raya is up for the corner but they can't make anything of it. Is that it?

  13. Postpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

Stoke's Nick Powell is limping off with an injury - Nathan Collins on.

Brentford are into last-chance saloon territory here.

  14. Postpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

This is not very Brentford, but desperate times cause for desperate measures.

They throw centre-back Ethan Pinnock up top and instantly he causes havoc under a high ball and the Bees bench are yelping for a penalty.

Was Ollie Watkins shoved over? I don't think there was quite enough in it, but James McClean is then booked for a late challenge on Emiliano Marcondes - it's a free-kick.

  15. SUBSTITUTION (Wigan)published at 14:23 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Charlton 1-2 Wigan

With four minutes of the 90 left, and with them still holding firm at the back, Wigan make their second change.

Jamal Lowe gets a rest and Gary Roberts comes on.

  16. CLOSE!published at 14:22 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

    So close.

Sergi Canos puts in a lovely low ball across the Stoke penalty area but it's just too far ahead of Said Benrahma, who slides in vain to get on the end of it.

Will Brentford get one last chance?

  17. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

Brentford have five minutes to find a goal from somewhere.

They need two to stop Leeds being crowned champions, but that won't be their concern right now.

  18. Postpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

    Oh dear.

Just as Brentford look to increase the pressure, Shandon Baptiste is penalised for a foul throw.

It's elementary stuff and allows Stoke to take the sting out of things. We're into the 90th minute.

  19. SUBSTITUTION (Charlton)published at 14:18 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Charlton 1-2 Wigan

Charlton's fourth sub is a very attacking one. Defender Jason Pearce comes off and attacking midfielder Aiden McGeady comes on. The hosts will feel they have no choice but to take some risks now.

  20. Postpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke 1-0 Brentford

Brentford have had occasional moments but you have to give credit to Stoke - they restricted the hosts massively.

Sergi Canos tries to cross into the box but James McClean once again sticks to his defensive duties and blocks it.

Stoke bring on Lasse Sorensen for goalscorer (and possible match-winner) Lee Gregory.
