    Stoke v Brentford (12:30 BST)

Stoke name the same side that drew at Bristol City on Wednesday as they look to confirm their Championship status for next season - England keeper Jack Butland and Liam Lindsay return to the bench.

Thomas Frank makes one change to the Brentford team that edged past Preston in midweek - Josh Dasilva in for Emiliano Marcondes.

Remember the Bees need four points from their remaining two games, barring an improbable swing of goal difference, to seal automatic promotion to the Premier League at the expense of West Brom.

  3. Bees have chance to go secondpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke v Brentford (12:30 BST)

    Top sixImage source, .

Here's the situation at the top, (bet that 'P' looks good, Leeds fans?) ahead of today's games.

Brentford are one point behind West Brom with their game in hand. Fulham aren't out of it for now, but if the Bees win at lunchtime, Fulham's automatic promotion hopes will be mathematically over before they kick-off against Sheffield Wednesday at 15:00 BST.

  4. Baggies blip lets in Brentfordpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

Friday result: Huddersfield 2-1 West Brom

As brilliant as Brentford have been since the Championship's restart, they've needed a bit of a helping hand from West Bromwich Albion to have their promotion destiny in their own hands at this stage.

The Baggies were six points clear of Fulham and 10 ahead of Brentford when the campaign resumed in mid-June, but have dropped points at regular intervals and yesterday's loss at Huddersfield was a hammer blow.

"We have two options, feel sorry or take our second chance," Bilic told BBC Radio WM. "Now it is up to us to show if we are real men or near men."

  5. Who was in the top flight when Leeds were last there?published at 12:02 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Leeds promoted to Premier League

Leeds United are back in the Premier League for the first time in 16 years after their promotion to the Championship was confirmed.

But the sides they will face next season look very different to those who made up the top flight when the Whites were last there.

Can you name the 19 other teams that made up what was then the Premiership in 2003-04? Give it a try here.

  6. Can the Bees buzz through the open door?published at 11:59 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke v Brentford (12:30 BST)

When lockdown happened, with nine games of the season remaining, Brentford were fourth in the Championship, 10 points adrift of second placed West Brom.

Since the resumption, Brentford have won seven games in a row and now, after West Brom's shock defeat at Huddersfield, know victories in their last two games will take Thomas Frank's side into the Premier League for the first time in their history.

It would be a truly remarkable achievement - and well timed given the club are moving into a new ground next season.

The question is, with the pressure on, can they keep this winning run going?

A promotion doesn't just happen in one moment - it is the culmination of a season, if not longer, of hard work both on and off the pitch.

BBC Sport has put together a list of 10 moments that mattered - the good and the bad - since Marcelo Bielsa took over as head coach at Elland Road.

It's fair to say it's been a rollercoaster for Leeds fan, and that's just since the Argentine became boss.

  8. Leeds fans celebrate promotion at homepublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Leeds promoted to Premier League

Leeds United fans have shared videos online of their celebrations as the club won promotion to the Premier League.

As hundreds gathered at Elland Road to celebrate, others heeded advice to stay away and celebrate in accordance with coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

The club's place in the top flight was confirmed when West Brom lost to Huddersfield Town on Friday.

  9. Another relegation 'six-pointer'published at 11:52 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Charlton v Wigan (12:30 BST)

Also this lunchtime we have a potentially-decisive game involving two of the teams at risk of relegation.

After hammering Hull 8-0 on Tuesday (yes, EIGHT), you could be forgiven for assuming that Wigan - in 13th spot - were safe. But if their appeal against their 12-point deduction is unsuccessful, the Latics' current position would be 21st, only above Hull and the drop zone on goal difference.

Two points better off than that are their hosts today, Charlton. A win this afternoon for either of these two would be a giant leap towards safety.

  10. Bees two games from promotionpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 18 July 2020

    Stoke v Brentford (12:30 BST)

Yes, it's the penultimate round of Championship games this season, and after West Brom's defeat last night, third-placed Brentford's chances of reaching the Premier League are now firmly in their own hands.

With two games to go, the in-form Bees need four points to go up (barring a very unlikely 12-goal swing), but can they continue their superb form now that the pressure is suddenly on them instead?

Their game at Stoke is one of our two 12:30 BST kick-offs this lunchtime and it's now without doubt one of the biggest games in the history of the west London club.

Good morning. In case you weren't anywhere near West Yorkshire, social media or a TV last night, the first of the two automatic promotion spots to the Premier League has been sealed. Congratulations to Leeds United - more on that coming up shortly.

But who will join them in the top flight next year?

And who will find themselves playing two divisions below Marcelo Bielsa's team next season?

Welcome to our live coverage of yet another pivotal day in the Championship.
