    Cheltenham 0-2 Northampton (agg 2-2)

I think my favourite moment of this match is the noise Charlie Goode makes when he sends a long throw-in towards the Cheltenham box.

A proper good "WAHHHHHHH!" as he launches it about 25 yards. Tremendous.

To give some emphasis on how well Northampton have done to get themselves back on level pegging, here.

Tonight is the first time Cheltenham have conceded more than once in a game in the league since November.

Yet another Nicky Adams corner for Northampton and this time Scott Wharton works on to it at the near post.

He can't quite get the connection needed, but Cheltenham really should be doing better to halt these chances by now.

What have they got in response?

Cheltenham's two-goal lead is wiped out!

Is this tie headed for extra time?! Callum Morton scores Northampton's second of the evening to get them back on level terms in this second leg!

Nicky Adams' corner sails into the box and Charlie Goode gets a head onto it before it's deflected into the path of Morton, who nods it home.

Blimey, Cheltenham almost go and score at the other end!

The ball pinballs around the box following a corner to the hosts and Ben Tozer gets the last of a succession of headers right on the far post but it's well collected by Northampton goalkeeper Steve Arnold.

Northampton are absolutely livid that they've not won another corner after a free-kick sails out of bounds, seemingly off the head of a Cheltenham defender in a crowded box.

This game is oozing with intensity. This could be an entertaining finale.

A clever backheel from Callum Morton plays Vadaine Oliver through into the Cheltenham box but can he double his tally for the evening and put Northampton on level terms?

The answer is no, as he thumps his shot straight into the hands of Robins keeper Owen Evans.

Nonetheless, good stuff from Northampton and Oliver proving dangerous once again.

You can sense the tension in this game now.

Northampton have picked up where they left off and win an early corner and Callum Morton does well to control the ball into the path of Charlie Goode.

FT: Exeter 3-1 Colchester (agg 3-2)

    Matt TaylorImage source, PA Media

Exeter manager Matt Taylor has been talking to the media after his side's semi-final win over Colchester, and it's fair to say he's pleased with what he saw.

“We’ve seen moments like this in Exeter City’s history. It’s such a shame the fans weren’t here to witness it.

“To win that game in extra time they would have been on the pitch and the players need to understand what a big moment that is.

“For the last three-and-a-half or four months Exeter City have shown great games of old on the website - the lads have been involved in that today.

“It doesn’t feel like it because there’s no-one here to enjoy the moment and to celebrate with us, but that was a huge, huge moment.”

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 22 June 2020

    Cheltenham 0-1 Northampton (agg 2-1)

Cheltenham's two-goal lead has been halved and they've had little in response to Vadaine Oliver's ninth-minute header.

Keith Curle's side have been on top in this first half - but can they capitalise on their performance and set up a Wembley final?

Some cracking football from Northampton as half-time soon appoaches.

Sam Hoskins and Callum Morton link up in a quick set of passing to find Vadaine Oliver who can't quite hit the target.

Soon after, Oliver heads on to a long ball into the box from Charlie Goode but he heads over the bar from point blank range.

Vadaine Oliver is playing havoc in the Cheltenham box in this first half and his latest aerial threat comes from a whopping long free-kick from near the halfway line from Alan McCormack.

Oliver wins the ball with ease and heads into the centre of the box as Cheltenham scramble to clear it away.

Sean Long puts a superb cross in across the face of the Northampton goal but none of his teammates can quite work on to it.

The hosts win a corner soon after but it's a tame effort and the visitors win possession back.

It's been an entertaining half, this. Keith Curle's side will be the happier as we approach the break.

Oof! That would have been a stunner if it had gone in..

Alan McCormack tries to thump a right-footed super strike home to double Northampton's lead and get them back on level pegging.

However his effort smacks off the back of the stand behind the goal.

Cheltenham's first chance in front of goal comes against the run of play.

Alfie May does well to find space in the Northampton box and work on to Ryan Broom's delivery but he's flagged offside.

Soon after Jonte Smith picks up possession on the 18-yard line but he floats an effort just wide of the mark.

The drinks break is now over, folks. And what a drinks break that was.

It's pretty hot out there and Northampton have certainly fired this tie up so far.
