    Exeter 1-0 Colchester (agg 1-1)

Once again a Colchester corner goes short and once again it comes to nothing.

They may want to rethink that particular tactic, with the likes of Luke Norris and Luke Prosser to aim for.

Colchester have top scorer Theo Robinson on the bench - as he was for Thursday's first leg - will John McGreal turn to him soon?

Remember, both sides are able to make five substitutions under new EFL protocols.

Colchester win a free-kick and look to get it in the mixer from deep, but it's poorly taken from Cohen Bramall and Exeter clear with ease.

The pace of the game has slowed slightly as both sides look to get back into their stride.

Unlike most years the EFL play-off finals are not going to be played in close proximity.

They will be played behind closed doors but will still be at Wembley.

    Here are the all-important dates:

    • League Two final: 29 June
    • League One final: 13 July
    • Championship final: 4 August

I'm sure most of you know this already, but some housekeeping...

As it stands we'll be going to two 15-minute periods of extra-time at St James Park, with penalties following if the scores remain level.

There is no away goals rule in the EFL play-offs so if the aggregate score is level after 90 minutes we will go on!

    And that's half-time.

That was a darn sight better than the first-leg offering on Thursday.

Both sides are going toe-to-toe, trading blows, but Exeter came out of traps fastest and deserve to be a goal up at the interval.

But it's all level on aggregate and Colchester have still had their moments!

Exeter almost go ahead in the tie after a fine counter attack!

Nicky Law feeds Randell Williams and his left-footed strike bends just wide of the far post.

Despite scoring a league-high number of goals from corners, Colchester decide to take it short.

The ball eventually comes back to Ryan Jackson, whose shot from range deflects high and into the hands of Exeter's Jonny Maxted.

We're into three minutes of added time at St James Park.

Exeter have been the better team so far and deserve their lead but Colchester have looked much brighter in the past five minutes and probably won't want to hear the half-time whistle.

This time Frank Nouble pops up on the left and sees his attempted cross blocked for a corner.

Guy Janaway: You say St James Park is empty, but what about the dozens of cardboard cutouts of the Exeter City fans?!

You make a fair point, Guy. We've even seen one of Plymouth manager Ryan Lowe, which seems to have sneaked under the radar!

Exeter keeper Jonny Maxted is forced into a first significant save.

It's a great ball in by teenage winger Kwame Poku and Luke Norris' header needed stopping as it was heading for the net.

Home striker Ryan Bowman has been yellow-carded for a studs-up challenge on a Colchester player.

Former Crystal Palace defender Dean Moxey has a wand of a left peg.

The Exeter man whips in a lovely cross but Randell Williams's backpost header goes well over the Colchester bar.

    Half-chances at both ends here...

Once again right-back Ryan Jackson is Colchester's best attacking outlet - his cross gets to Harry Pell, who's shot is blocked.

Kwame Poku then tries to get the ball into the box but it fails to beat the first Exeter defender.

Not a bad effort from Colchester midfielder Luke Gambin!

Exeter clear out of their box and the Malta international takes a touch before unleashing a fierce drive from more than 25 yards which flies over the bar.

    Decent technique on that.

Colchester are struggling to get out of their half.

Time for a drinks break - they need it on this sunny evening in Devon!

The first quarter has belonged to Exeter.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 25 mins

    Exeter 1-0 Colchester (agg 1-1)

We saw a goal from a free-kick in the first leg and Randell Williams almost gets one here for Exeter.

He floats the ball over the wall and the experienced Dean Gerken makes a great diving save.

Colchester's Cohen Bramall went into the book for handball, which led to the free-kick.
