    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's so one-sided at the moment. Norwich are defending OK but are constantly under threat. United will have to move it quickly, with Fernandes finding those pockets of space.

Beautiful flick from Scott McTominay to feed the ball into the path of Odion Ighalo inside the area, the Nigerian striker rolls his marker but Tim Krul darts off his line to smother.

  5. Much-improved Fred to make way?published at 17:53 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

Fred came in for big money and struggled in his first season but him and Scott McTominay were the only two that stood up when United were struggling this season. He has been brilliant in that midfield this season.

You feel like he's probably the one that will miss out when Paul Pogba gets his feet back under the table. He deserves the right to lose his place for me.

20 gone, goalscoring opportunities have been non-existent so far.

  7. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

Norwich are not going to have too many chances to break inside the United box today and are going to have to make them count when they do.

Teemu Pukki breaks the offside side down the right and have three Canaries players to aim at inside the area, but sees his cross towards the far post headed to safety by Diogo Dalot.

  8. Postpublished at 15 mins

United have made double the number of passes Norwich have.

  9. Big game for Lingard?published at 17:45 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

Games like today are big for Jesse Lingard. I think he's probably not amongst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first choice team but if he can go on a run of goals and assists in this competition they might help his chances. He's a quality player.

  10. 'Norwich's passing at the back concerns me'published at 17:44 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Norwich in that area [near their own penalty box] concern me. Ben Godfrey played a loose ball a little earlier. You have to trust your passing and touch.

Lovely feet from Jesse Lingard, dancing his way into the box, but then seeing the ball nicked from his toe by Lukas Rupp as he was about to have a pop at goal.

That'll be on Instagram later. #dancefloor

First bit of work for Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul to do but he does it well, rising over a number of bodies to cleanly collect Harry Maguire's looping header.

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

I think you have to understand the process at Norwich - they haven’t thrown loads of money at it. It’s a process I respect. If it doesn’t work out for them this season I’m sure they’ll be back.

Eric Bailly, though, is caught in possession deep in his own half by Todd Cantwell, who feeds Teemu Pukki inside the box.

  16. 'The wind makes the ball hard to judge'published at 17:38 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I would say it's windy today. I saw Tim Krul kick a ball clear, but because it's gusty it hung up in the air. It's hard to judge for a centre-back.

Bright sunshine in Norfolk, but it seems it's quite blustery out.

So much so that United defender Eric Bailly has flown through the air and taken a tumble under a challenge.

Crazy dive, Tom Daley would be proud of that one.

Look like Norwich are happy to sit back, soak up the United pressure and then hit them on the counter.

As JJ just mentioned though, the Red Devils have Bruno Fernandes operating in the final third and the Portuguese has an eye for a pass.

  19. 'Fernandes has given Utd their arrogance back'published at 17:35 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

It's been a season that's ebbed and flowed for Manchester United - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been questioned, I've questioned him. It's a season that has improved on one signing, Bruno Fernandes has given this side the arrogance and confidence back. There's probably a few people looking at this team thinking it could be a special one. Fernandes has lit that torch for me really.

    Norwich 0-0 Man Utd

United in a 4-2-3-1 formation, Juan Mata playing from the right, Jesse Lingard from the left in between Bruno Fernandes with Odion Ighalo up top.

That's a rather formidable second string United team.
