Fulham have dominated the ball from the start and Brentford keeper David Raya has been the busier of the two, pulling off two good saves from Josh Onomah.

Brentford's famed attacking front three have yet to really get a look in.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 29 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Harrison Reed gets a yellow card for a thunderous tackle on Christian Norgaard, leaving his boot in the Dane's shin. Fulham in the book.

He's been really lively in midfield, snapping and breaking up play but now could be on a tightrope.

Chance for the Bees. Fierce cross from the right was viciously swung in by Christian Norgaard but it was nicked away off the head of Bryan Mbeumo by Fulham defender Michael Hector.

Mathias Jensen whips his corner straight into the side-netting.

Now it's time for the fluids to be taken on board. Not sure Fulham will be chuffed about the break.

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Joe Bryan's break looked to give Fulham a great position to attack but the ball is won back by Brentford.

The Bees get a spell of possession but the defence is suffocating from Fulham.

Rico Henry digs out a cross which loops to Fulham keeper Marek Rodak.

Can't be far off drinks break territory.

Fulham get a corner. Too much jostling forces Martin Atkinson to have a word. The corner is short and dealt with.

The pressure is all on Brentford at the moment, Rico Henry snapping into a challenge on Neeskens Kebano in the latest attempt to stem the flow.

Kev: Is there anything worse in football than seeing a free kick from just outside the box being hit into the wall?

It's not great Kev but how about losing a Championship play-off final on penalties? Sorry Brentford and Fulham fans.

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Fulham normally love to move the ball about between the centre-halves Tim Ream and Michael Hector, but Brentford are fully aware of this and have squeezed right up on Fulham's back line.

It's a test of Fulham's one-touch ability but they have found space.

Bobby Decordova-Reid is the latest to have a crack at goal but a deflection spoons the ball up and away for a corner.

Both managers have been almost constant presences in their technical areas since kick-off, with Bees head coach Thomas Frank the more vocal and demonstrative on the sidelines.

The Dane has had the occasional word with Brian Riemer, his assistant, while Fulham boss Scott Parker has been a lone wolf on the sidelines.

Parker has gone for a sharp suit, while Frank is in more casual attire.

Fulham may be missing Aleksandar Mitrovic, but Josh Onomah has proved to be a real threat so far this evening.

  9. 'Parker will be happy so far'published at 19 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

The closer looks at goal have come from Fulham so far.

Scott Parker will be quite happy with the way his side have started.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 18 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Big one-handed save from David Raya! Got down low after a swivelling shot from Josh Onomah. The Fulham man fired across the keeper and the Spaniard did a great job of stopping it.

Really key. Best chance so far.

Big noggin' on it by Pontus Jansson clears the lines for Brentford from the corner but it's only a temporary reprieve as Fulham continue to compress the play.

The Cottagers are the side in the more dominant mood at the moment, but Brentford maintain a threat.

    Bright start.

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Fulham got a chink of light in the Brentford box after a sharp turn from Josh Onomah but his shot was blocked.

It came from a cross by Denis Odoi, who is in for the more attack-minded Cyrus Christie.

Another attack down the right sees a corner won after Neeskens Kebano's cross is blocked.

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Fulham have swamped their own half of the field with numbers as Brentford play their way around the edge of the penalty area.

The weight of numbers worked perfectly, as a frustrated Bees hoiked the ball into the box and it was easily dealt with by Tim Ream.

Some hairy moments for Brentford as they try to play their way out from the back, David Raya's clearance is intercepted, but Fulham just couldn't get a shot away.

Concentration rather lacking. Got away with it though.

    Bit of a let-down, that set-piece.

Bryan Mbeumo rapped his free-kick into the wall, and a curling cross by Said Benrahma was easily gathered by Marek Rodak.

The Fulham keeper punted quickly in a bid to get Aboubakar Kamara in, but it bounces through to David Raya.

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Ollie Watkins busts a gut to keep Ethan Pinnock's long ball down the Fulham middle in play and does well to bring his breaking team-mates into play.

Fulham do well to put the ball into touch, but Brentford have already shown attacking intent when they get in behind.

Michael Hector has just bundled Said Benrahma over on the edge of the box after Henrik Dalsgaard pumped a ball into the right channel. Danger.

Said Benrahma pinches the ball off a ponderous Fulham and suddenly Brentford swarm forward to offer support but the move comes to an end.

Fulham break accordingly, and Bobby Decordova-Reid frees Josh Onomah to scamper forward, but his skiddy shot is fielded well by a diving David Raya in the Bees goal.

Brentford win a free kick just outside the centre circle in the Fulham half and Henrik Dalsgaard got a shot away which was blocked as the ball headed into the box.

The Bees love to work the ball through the lines, plenty of pace and runners.

Fulham love to pass the ball around, trying to draw their opponents out of shape and then strike.

    An intriguing battle.

  20. How to handle the pressurepublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 4 August 2020

    Brentford v Fulham (19:45 BST)

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Here's a bit more from ex-Fulham striker Bobby Zamora, who has scored winning goals in two second-tier play-off finals, about handling the pressure of the big occasion:

"It comes down to each individual. The run-up to the final is key, I found.

"We had a psychologist in towards the end of the (2013-14) season at QPR which made us focus our minds individually and collectively. I’m not sure if either team have anyone involved on that side, but it certainly can help some people.

"It’s 11 v 11, they’ve played against each other and know each other. You’ve just got to win your individual battle, and if more players on your team can do that, you’re in a good place."
