    Belgium 2-0 England

    Into the final 10 minutes.

Barring a spectacular collapse from the number one side in the world, this one is done.

  2. CLOSE!published at 79 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

England need to fluke one in to the top corner.

They almost do as Harry Kane's cross takes a huge deflection off Jason Denayer but lands on the roof of the net.

  3. CLOSE!published at 77 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

Belgium come forward for the first time in this second half and almost grab a third.

Kevin de Bruyne fizzes a pass into Romelu Lukaku, who lays it off first-time for Dries Mertens.

The Napoli man picks out his fellow Serie A player, but Inter Milan's Lukaku shoots straight at Jordan Pickford.

Would have been a lovely goal.

    Belgium 2-0 England

Belgium are comfortable here, sitting back and soaking up the pressure.

They've got a two goal lead, they don't need to come out.

It's breaking down too often for England in the final third.

  5. A reminderpublished at 71 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

In case you needed this reminder...

England WILL NOT be going to the Nations League finals if they lose tonight.

Less than 20 minutes left to try and salvage something from this game.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 69 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

    A double change for England.

Chris Waddle gets his wish as Dominic Calvert-Lewin enters the action, as does Jadon Sancho.

Mason Mount and Kieran 'The Warrior' Trippier make way.

I don't know whether it's worth just sticking on Dominic Calvert-Lewin? If England don't win, they are going out. Belgium have nothing about them. They are running on empty. They are literally playing on memory at the moment. I'm surprised Roberto Martinez has not made any substitutions.

  8. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

The seven fouls on Jack Grealish in this game is the the most suffered by an England player since Harry Kane v Colombia at the 2018 World Cup (9).

    Belgium 2-0 England

Kieran Trippier's right eye has a big bulge on it, like he's had a left hook from Tyson Fury.

That must have happened when he hit the ground.

The physio is taking a look at Trippier, applying some petroleum jelly and telling him to go back out there for the full 12 rounds.

    Belgium 2-0 England

When did Belgium turn into hack merchants?

This is not a great challenge from Thorgan Hazard either, hurtling in to the back of Kieran Trippier and the Atletico Madrid player has not moved.

Whether Belgium are feeling the pace, bit tired, got injuries - whatever. We have seen them play a lot better than this.

  12. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

Jack Grealish has been fouled seven times so far.

The next highest is Harry Kane on four.

Doing my best to stay calm and professional at the constant mistreatment of Jack Grealish!

Anyway, the Villa captain cannot be touched this time in the area, but he curls a shot way over.

    Hour gone.

*Copy and paste* - Belgium player fouls Jack Grealish.

Dries Mertens on this occasion, having no interest in the ball and simply pushing himself into the England midfielder.

    Easy now, Chris.

That was a lovely little flick... If you were watching this game as a neutral and were asked who the number one team in the world were, you would think it's England!

  17. CLOSE!published at 57 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

Much better from England this, right on the front foot.

Harry Kane works a yard in the box but a low daisycutter is comfortable for Thibaut Courtois.

    Belgium 2-0 England

Thomas Meunier, on a yellow card, barges over Bukayo Saka down the left.

    No second yellow.

    What?? Not even a free-kick.

Well that's what he gives you, Jack Grealish. He is always positive, he is always looking to play. He's on the front foot and he gets his head up to play give and gos. When you run with the football, you are going to get free-kicks.

    Belgium 2-0 England

Kieran Trippier takes over the set-piece duty this time but it is another poor effort.

I was going to say it hits the Belgium wall but in fact it strikes own team-mate.

    Deary me.
