Another free-kick for England just outside the area after Thomas Meunier trips Jack Grealish.

I'm just wondering how you can change it. Jan Vertonghen looks like he's tiring so could you bring Jadon Sancho on to add some pace?

  3. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

Mason Mount scoops his free-kick horribly over.

Gareth Southgate, standing helplessly on the touchline, claps with encouragement.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 51 mins

    Now then.

England have a free-kick right on the edge of the area after Toby Alderweireld bundles over Spurs team-mate Harry Kane.

    He knew what was coming.

    Alderweireld gets a yellow.

I just wonder whether Jordan Henderson is carrying a bit of an injury... Because that's not good news for Liverpool. It's a like-for-like change. Can't see that being tactical!

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    Belgium 2-0 England

Away we go for the second half.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    Belgium 2-0 England

    A change for England.

Harry Winks is on for Jordan Henderson.

If that's an injury to the Liverpool captain, Jurgen Klopp is going to be throwing teacups at his telly.

  10. Wall at fault?published at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    HT: Belgium 2-0 England

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

The disappointment for me is that the wall was massive and they didn't jump [for Dries Mertens' goal]. That's a must. If they are good enough to fizz it under the wall then you put your hands up and say 'that's class'. Jordan Pickford didn't have a chance. It will be interesting to know whether the instruction was not to jump. For me, you should always jump.

  11. Postpublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    Belgium 2-0 England

This is the first time England men's senior side have gone into half-time two goals behind in any international since August 2009 in a friendly against the Netherlands, which they eventually came back to draw 2-2 thanks to a Jermain Defoe brace.

David Wynde: Playing Henderson and Rice together with three central defenders is not working. Too negative.

England have played okay. I can't fault the tempo and they have really hustled them but they haven't troubled the goalkeeper enough. England are looking for that bit of quality in the final third. Will Gareth Southgate take someone like Eric Dier off and put on an attack-minded player on like Phil Foden? Romelu Lukaku is dropping deep and there's three players marking nobody at the minute. He could sacrifice someone and bring on Foden who can do something at the other end of the pitch.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    Belgium 2-0 England

England have threatened but it's Belgium who go in at the break with a two-goal advantage.

  15. Postpublished at 45+2 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

Wow. Jan Vertonghen with some silky skills inside his own half, get away from Eric Dier and Mason Mount in one motion before coolly passing the ball to a team-mate.

    Niiice.

  16. CLOSE!published at 45+1 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

From the corner, Mason Mount heads wide from eight yards out.

The Chelsea man feels he should do better.

  17. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

    Chance!

On the stroke of half-time, Harry Kane evades marker Jason Denayer with a smart turn, but his shot from the left angle - remember the miss against Croatia in 2018? - that sort of area, but his effort is straight at Thibaut Courtois.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 44 mins

    Belgium 2-0 England

Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel is the first man into the referee's book.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Cheeky.

Dries Mertens looks to catch Jordan Pickford out from near the halfway line, but the England goalkeeper can safely see the effort drop wide.

Seeing that drop over his head is the last thing he needs.

    That's back tonight, btw.

England are the ones feeling like "get me out of hereeeeeee" right now.
