There's plenty going on - does Arsenal goalkeeper Emi Martinez handle the ball outside the area?! That is very close.

Both of Mateo Kovacic's yellow cards are soft, they just show them back. Not every foul is a booking, not every tackle is a foul.

Arsenal replace Alexandre Lacazette with Eddie Nketiah.

Sorry, my system went down for a moment there - in the aftermath of the red card Mikel Arteta was booked. Now Chelsea make a flurry of changes...

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would cost zillions to replace. Absolute zillions.

    Chris Sutton

I'm not sure it is a booking. I think it is a really harsh decision. Now Chelsea have an absolute mountain to climb

  8. 'Terrible decision'published at 19:05 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Danny Murphy
Former Liverpool and England midfielder on BBC One

There's not much in it is there? It's not a yellow card. They have just touched boots!

That's the wrong decision. It's a terrible decision.

  9. RED CARD - Mateo Kovacicpublished at 73 mins

    Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea

Chelsea's evening goes from tricky to University Challenge levels. They are down to 10 men and midfielder Mateo Kovacic is off for a second yellow.

He does catch Granit Xhaka but it's just a tackle isn't it? Not much in that at all.

    Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea

He'd barely been involved in this half you know, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. That's what he's all about.

Mind you I went to see him play in Dortmund once and he barly touched the ball and scored a hat-trick past Ederson.

  11. Postpublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

Excluding 'home' games, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is only the fifth player to score 2+ goals in a match at Wembley Stadium in club football more than once, after Bryan Robson, Ian Rush, Ian Wright and Eric Cantona.

  13. 'A work of art'published at 19:02 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea

    Chris Sutton
Premier League winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

You can see why Arsenal want to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. It is absolutely genius by Aubameyang. He drifts past Kurt Zouma and dinks the ball over Willy Caballero. It's one of the great goals - an absolute work of art. It's sad Wembley does not have any fans in it.

The players took drinks after that goal and Andreas Christensen needed treatment after he collided with Hector Bellerin at the end of his barnstormer. What a superb finish.

    Can Chelsea respond?

It's exceptional the way he gets in there, turns the defender and the finish is sublime. He is red hot! What a finish!

Wow! What a finish! What a player!

Nicolas Pepe picks Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out and he's onside. Look at that dink... He's a world class footballer. We have seen how important it is today for Arsenal to keep him. It's a beautiful, beautiful finish.

GOAL - Arsenal 2-1 Chelseapublished at 18:58 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (67 mins)

What a brilliant goal! Hector Bellerin takes the game by the scruff of the neck and just charges through the middle. He opens up the whole game and while he's tackled by Andreas Christensen, Nicolas Pepe is able to pick up the pieces and find Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left of the area.

He runs at Kurt Zouma, chops past him with ease and then dinks over Willy Caballero with his left foot.

Two in the semi, two in the final. CLINICAL.

    Just like that...

Mason Mount is clear on the left and without looking just drills the cross into the middle. It's a great ball in but there's nobody gambling on it.
