In Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich have the best sweeper keeper in the world. He's there to mop up anything and with his feet he can do it.

  7. Postpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Early days, but tonight's Champions League action is feeling a little bit flat. Bayern Munich are in total control in Germany while Barcelona are starting to impose themselves on their game after a slow start. Shocks are looking unlikely, but you never know.

    Clement Lenglet (11 mins)

It has been all Napoli but Barcelona get the opener!

Simple stuff for Barcelona as Clement Lenglet is allowed to rise unchallenged to nod in Ivan Rakitic's corner.

Napoli still need to score, so in a sense little has changed but that will frustrate the visitors after a good start.

Good start by the visitors. If tonight's game is like climbing Everest according to Gennaro Gattuso then they are striding off from base camp with their chests puffed out.

It felt weird last night and it is the same again tonight as the iconic Champions League anthem plays out to an empty stadium.

Usually those final notes would be met by a huge roar but nothing bar the claps of the players and then near silence.

Fans in stadiums can't come back soon enough.
