Joao Moutinho is booked for a chop on the diminuitive Mathieu Valbuena.

I don't think anyone from Wolves is going to be apologising for that.

Remember the equaliser they had ruled out at Anfield for the tightest of offside decisions? Or the one that was disallowed at Leicester in February that cost his team a win?

I bet Nuno Espirito Santo does.

    Pudding-Head: Lucky lucky Wolves.

Paul: Absolute joke to disallow that. Look at the lines they drew. The line they used to say he was offside was drawn coming down from his arm. Which isn't even a legal way to score anyway so shouldn't be counted in offside decisions either.

  4. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-1)

Olympiakos bullied Arsenal at set-pieces and they're very close to scoring from another here. The ball in is dreamy, Youssel el Arabi helps it on and Pape Cisse is so close to meeting it at the far post.

Wolves need a kick up the proverbial.

  5. 'He's had his head turned'published at 20:35 British Summer Time 6 August 2020

Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Rangers (Agg: 4-1)

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard: "The run’s been amazing, the players have been fantastic they’ve gave me everything they’ve got. They’ve really pushed themselves to the max and at times we’ve punched above our weight. Its an amazing achievement to get to where we got to, but we’re Rangers and we need to keep striving for more and get better individually."

    On Alfredo Morelos' future:

"I can’t control what goes on outside. Everyone knows he’s had his head turned, for sure. There’s no denying that. But we just move forward. My focus is on the team and the players that want to be here, and the focus is on St Mirren. If a bid comes that the board like and they are interested in, and the player tells me face-to-face he wants to go, we’ll see what happens."

It's an armpit offside, and I forgot you could score with an armpit.

  7. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-1)

The visitors will feel hard done by there but that's a wake-up call for Wolves. One goal is not going to be enough.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 6 August 2020
    Breaking

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-1)

What a relief for Wolves! The goal is ruled out. Offside on an atomic level.

Wolves are due a VAR favour aren't they?

  9. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 6 August 2020

It's so tight - you can't tell from the one angle I've seen. They are still checking.

  10. 'Onside'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 6 August 2020

    Wolves 1-1 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-2)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Matt Doherty is playing him onside.

Now then, was El Arabi offside when he ran onto that pass?

  12. goal

GOAL - Wolves 1-1 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-2)published at 20:29 British Summer Time 6 August 2020

    Mohamed Camara (28 mins)

    MASSIVE goal!

Youssef el Arabi makes a great run down the right, he looks up and has Mo Camara racing into the area. He picks him out nicely and the midfielder sidefoots it toward goal. Willy Boly gets a touch and it deflects in...

  13. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 6 August 2020

Basel 0-0 Eintracht Frankfurt (Agg: 3-0)

Is there any way back for Eintracht Frankfurt as they look to claw back a 3-0 first-leg deficit against FC Basel?

Towering Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger has just missed a great opportunity to kick-start a seemingly unlikely comeback as he heads Filip Kostic's free-kick narrowly over the bar.

Frankfurt could do with something fairly soon if they're going to make Basel nervous this evening.

The winners will face Shakhtar in Schalke's ground next Tuesday.

Lovely, Berbatov-esque touch from Raul Jimenez at the far post to cushion a cross and set up Ruben Neves, but his shot is charged down.

  15. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-1)

Adama Traore is so explosive - he has no space to work in but still manages to beat two defenders within a 10-yard pocket on the right wing. Brilliant play, but he's pinged for a foul, unfortunately in my view.

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg:2-1)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bobby Allain is making the Olympiakos back four nervous, and that makes the whole team nervous.

Paul: The olympiakos goalkeeper is an absolute joke. He's already caused one calamity with that daft penalty but he still looks like he's got a few more calamities in him yet.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 19 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-1)

Brilliant run! Olympiakos left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas, who was excellent against Arsenal as I recall, plays a fine one-two and races into the area. He has to hit it early under pressure and lashes a shot at the near post and Rui Patricio has to get across well to tip it around the post.

This tie is far from dusted.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Olympiakos (Agg: 2-1)

Jonny cannot continue on the left for Wolves, he limps down the tunnel and Ruben Vinagre is on in his place.
