Hibernian manager Jack Ross: "We'd have been happy with any sort of victory, given how impressive Livingston's home record has been. To win the game in the manner we did and with that margin of victory is very satisfying and should generate increased confidence.

"We looked at two key parts. We knew we'd need to defend a lot of balls in the box from open play and set pieces and we'd have to be brave and aggressive, and we did that brilliantly as a team.

"Secondly, in possession we believed we could work the ball into wide areas and deliver balls into the box, which is why we played the personnel we did today - again the players did that terrifically well and we saw that from the opening two goals. The players were brilliant today."

And here comes the hat-trick hero...

Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet: "I'm delighted. It's great for a striker to get off the mark quickly. Both strikers scoring gives us a bit of confidence for Tuesday (away to Dundee United).

"I was confident coming in to the match today. I back myself and I'm confident in my ability. I don't [have a goals target]. I'm just trying to score as many goals as I can and put points on the board. I've come to a massive club."

Dundee United manager Micky Mellon: "We knew we were going to get asked a lot of questions and I think the players can take a lot of credit for answering those questions. It's a great result for us.

"Mark Reynolds helps me drive the standard, he's been brilliant since I came in. I was delighted to see him getting his goal today."

Livingston manager Gary Holt: "It's not good enough, it's as simple as that. People are not taking enough responsibility. You've got to do your shift and put the effort in. They didn't do that in the first half. Hibs took their foot off the gas in the second half. They'll have to go away and look at themselves.

"Finishing fifth last season - that's done, that's in the history books. That ain't going to keep you in the league."

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson: "We had Loads of possession and no end product.

"We looked like we were looking for a perfect goal, but we didn’t even make their goalkeeper work.

"We need to become more streetwise.

"I hope players aren't reading that they are moving here and there, because if they play like that they'll be moving nowhere."

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice: "We lost a poor goal. It was a scrappy goal. I always thought the first goal would be very, very important.

"You've got to learn, you've got to learn by your mistakes. The young lads needs to learn quickly.

"We defended our box better today. We'll go up to Aberdeen on Wednesday and try and get a result."

Ross County manager Stuart Kettlewell: "Billy Mckay got the type of goal that he tends to get.

"I'm delighted with the squad. It was a decent group performance. Looking at a young back four, or a new back four, it's great to see another clean sheet.

"There were a few chances. We had to face a lot of long balls. We had wee stages where we caught fire. We had the little bit of quality to win the game.

"How far can you take it? This league doesn't let you rest on your laurels."

The home side pulled one back via a rather soft penalty but seldom looked like finding a way back after shipping three first-half goals.

Christian Doidge scored the other goal for the visitors, who were sharp in attack and solid at the back throughout.
