  9. 'It shows how seriously we are taking it'published at 14:59 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Motherwell v Dundee United (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson has been speaking to BBC Sportsound following the news that one of his players is self-isolating following a false positive negative Coivd-19 test.

"Scottish football won't eradicate coronavirus. The fact the player has had a false negative and we aren't allowing the player to come near the club shows how seriously we are taking it".

Allan Campbell makes his first start today after missing Monday's defeat to Ross County, and Robinson is hoping he can provide the bite his side lacked in Dingwall.

"Alan provides us with that edge that we missed in the first 15 minutes on Monday, the wee man has had another week's training and he will be fired up and ready to go", says Robinson.

  10. Can Livi carry on fine home form?published at 14:55 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Livingston v Hibernian (15:00)

With Hearts out of the picture, this is the closest thing to a derby for Hibs this season.

Their recent record in West Lothian is not great, losing on two of their three visits over the past two seasons.

All three of Livingston's trips to Easter Road over the same period ended all square.

Only Rangers and Aberdeen left Livi with all three points last term and Gary Holt will have his men fired up after an opening day defeat at St Mirren.

  11. Accies aim to continue home streak versus Countypublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Hamilton v Ross County (15:00)

Hamilton started brightly against Celtic last weekend and a 5-1 thumping was a tad harsh on Brian Rice's team.

The hosts are unbeaten at home against Ross County over the last three seasons, with three wins and two draws.

The visitors will be feeling good after scoring early against Motherwell on Monday and holding on for the victory.

  12. It's been a while...published at 14:51 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Motherwell v Dundee United (15:00)

These two haven't met since March 2016 when Motherwell ran out 2-1 winners at Fir Park thanks to goals from Marvin Johnson and Louis Moult.

The Steelmen were a bit sluggish in the opening stages as they lost out at Ross County, so you can be sure manager Stephen Robinson will be demanding a higher tempo.

Dundee United started like a runaway train in their draw with 10-man St Johnstone, only to fall out of the game for a large chunk of the second half.

    Hamilton v Ross County (15:00)

Hamilton Academical head coach Brian Rice is preparing for today's meeting with Ross County before they are scheduled to meet Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday.

The Dons' meeting with St Johnstone today was postponed after two Aberdeen players tested positive for Covid-19 and eight in total have gone into isolation.

"Today's the biggest game for us," said Rice. "Once we get by today then we'll start preparing for Aberdeen.

"We know that the hotel that we use for food up in Aberdeen has cancelled that so we'll need to find alternative arrangements if the game is on. I'm assuming it is on. We'll make alternative arrangements, it's no big thing."

Will Rice be on packed lunch duties or will that go to one of his coaches?

  20. Shankland out; 'Well player missing after 'false positive test'published at 14:26 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Motherwell v Dundee Utd (15:00)

An unnamed Motherwell player is self-isolating for 10 days after testing positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.

The player has since tested negative twice in further tests and is showing no symptoms but must sit out as a precaution.

The hosts, aiming to bounce back from a 1-0 loss at Ross County, are without injured left-back Nathan McGinley and Liam Donnelly. Liam Polworth also makes way as Bevis Mugabi, Allan Campbell and Sherwin Seedorf make their first starts of the season.

As for the visitors, they are dealt a huge blow as last season's 28-goal man Lawrence Shankland has failed to make the squad.

Also dropping out are last weekend's goalscorer Nicky Clark and Lewis Neilson, who are replaced with Logan Chalmers and Luke Bolton.
