Wondering when the last time an away team scored three first half goals here at the Tony Macaroni?!*

The Horgan-Nisbet combo provided the first two, and then the mother of all 'scrambles in the box' presented Christian Doidge with the third.

The mother of all tongue-lashings awaits Livi in the dressing room as they've been poor so far, and their defending hasn't even been as good as that.

*It's been eight years, according to Tom English, who's had time to look up the stats during the interval.

  2. HALF-TIME Livingston 0-3 Hibernianpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Hibs are running away with it in West Lothian.

Kevin Nisbet has two goals and Christian Doidge is off the mark for the season. All three were close-range finishes, the kind managers love to see from their strikers.

Livi have been trying to get the ball forward quickly but have not really had a glimpse of goal.

  3. HALF-TIME Hamilton 0-0 Ross Countypublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

The first half ends with a clash of heads as Hamilton's Ross Callachan comes off worst in an aerial joust with Ross Stewart but both are able to carry on.

A competitive but still goalless match at New Douglas Park, with both goalkeepers in fine form so far.

  4. HALF-TIME Motherwell 0-0 Dundee Utdpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

The home side have dominated the first half, but Stephen Robinson's men don't have a lot to show for it.

Micky Mellon will be happy with the the visitors have defended, and despite having less of the ball, United have arguably had the better chances.

If the game continues in the same vein, and Motherwell can't break the deadlock, it'll feel like Monday night's second half in Dingwall all over again for Robinson.

  5. Nisbet looking the part for Hibspublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Livingston 0-2 Hibernian

Two goals for Kevin Nisbet, to go with an assist last weekend. A very promising start for the 23-year-old striker signed from Dunfermline over the summer.

The first was a close-range, poacher's finish, the second a good nod, although the keeper might have done better.

He could have had a hat-trick there but Christian Doidge finished off in what has been a dream first half for the visitors.

    Christian Doidge

    Hibs goalImage source, BBC Sport

Remember how parsimonious the Livi defence was last season? Well, that seems an age ago as Hibs score a third. Ryan Porteous causes havoc in the box from the corner kick from the left and the ball pings about the box before Kevin Nisbet, already on two goals this afternoon, half-hits a shot at goal and Christian Doidge pounces on it to poke it home for a commanding lead.

  7. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Motherwell 0-0 Dundee United

Motherwell are back on top here but it just won't fall for the home side as David Turnbull tries to catch out Benjamin Siegrist at his near post with a long range free-kick.

Stephen Robinson's men may be dominant, but you have to say the visitors have had the best chances of the game.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:41 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Hamilton 0-0 Ross County

Callum Smith attacks Connor Randall and jabs a low shot at the Ross County goal but keeper Ross Laidlaw makes a sharp save to keep the scores level.

    Kevin Nisbet

Kevin Nisbet scores his and Hibs' second of the afternoon. Having scored the first with his right foot, the second with his head, he needs one with his left boot for the perfect hat-trick. Daryl Horgan is the provider once more, crossing beautifully with his right foot from the left wing, and Nisbet timed his leap to perfection before nodding the ball past Robbie McCrorie, who got his fingertips to it but his momentum was taking him the wrong way.

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:33 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Motherwell 0-0 Dundee United

A huge chance for Dundee United!

Louis Appere plays in Luke Bolton bombing down the right, but the on-loan Manchester City winger lashes his effort into the near post side netting.

It wasn't the tightest of angles and the 20-year-old will be disappointed.

  12. End-to-end in the South Lanarkshire sunshinepublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Hamilton 0-0 Ross County

Hamilton's Callum Smith tests goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw low to his right after meandering in from the left.

The visitors move quickly to the other end and Billy Mckay sends a low shot at Ryan Fulton.

Accies look really lively going forward with Lewis Smith in particular utilising his excellent pace when given the opportunity to put the County defence under pressure.

    Motherwell 0-0 Dundee United

Both sides have had their sights on goal, but without success as yet. The teams look quite evenly matched and already there’s a good old battle between Scottish youngsters Jake Hastie and Jamie Robson.

The Livingston defence are turned and Daryl Horgan's low cross from the left wing flashes across the six-yard box and is side-footed home by Kevin Nisbet at the back post. That's his first goal for the club.

  16. Sore one for Erwinpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Hamilton 0-0 Ross County

Concern for Ross County as Lee Erwin lands awkward after rising to meet a cross. The big striker seemed to catch the post on his way down but is up and about again.

  17. Defensive walls do their jobpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Livingston 0-0 Hibernian

Moments ago, Lyndon Dykes cracked a free-kick into the Hibs wall from about 22 yards. Kevin Nisbet has an attempt at the other end from a similar distance but he too fails to get his effort beyond the assembled row of defenders.

Always an anti-climax, even without fans in attendance...

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:20 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Motherwell 0-0 Dundee United

Straight up the other end Motherwell have the biggest chance of the match so far.

Winger Sherwin Seedorf cuts in from the left hand side to swing in a cross which finds the head of Allan Campbell, but the young midfielder's glancing header goes just wide.

The visitors have their first real effort of the game as Ian Harkes breaks forward from the right but the American drags his show wide of the far post.

  20. An opening for Acciespublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Hamilton 0-0 Ross County

Ross Callachan is in for Hamilton in their best chance so far, latching on to Lewis Smith's lofted pass, but the ball just won't come down for the midfielder and goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw smothers the ball.
