St Mirren should have had more than that one goal from Obika. Morias missed a couple of chances. Hamilton have struggled to create anything. Brian Rice will not be happy

It looked like we were in for a cracker after the first few minutes and that's exactly how this one has panned out so far in Dingwall.

It's been a frantic end-to-end encounter in which County took the lead through a well-taken volley from centre-back Coll Donaldson.

However, Micky Mellon's men responded just five minutes before the break with Peter Pawlett's close-range equaliser.

More of the same second half lads!

  5. Kilmarnock asserting authoritypublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    HT: Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstone

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at BBSP Stadium

Much, much better from the home side in the latter stages of the opening period. They really started to push forward and pressure St Johnstone's back line.

Only a wonderful save from Elliot Parish from Chris Burke's angled volley kept the game scoreless before Kirk Broadfoot clattered the bar with a thumping header from the resultant corner.

Callum Davidson will likely be happy to get his side in at half time to reorganise and attempt to find more at the other end of the park.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:47 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Ross County 1-1 Dundee United

Just before the break, Ross Stewart has another glorious chance!

The striker meets an inswinging corner from Harry Paton, but his close range header bounces into the ground and loops over.

    Glorious chance for the hosts.

A very impressive first half from St Mirren and a rather unimpressive opening 45 minutes from Hamilton.

As things stand, the hosts are looking at no points from three games. Can they turn it around after the break?

  9. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstonepublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer will be the happier of the two managers at Rugby Park in terms of his team's performance, but he'll also be the more frustrated. But for Elliot Parish's save, his team would have led from Chris Burke's volley from the right and St Johnstone had the crossbar to call upon as their last line of defence when Kirk Broadfoot headed powerfully from eight yards. Parish also made a very good save from Stuart Findlay's 20-yard free-kick.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstone

Chris Burke lashes a volley that is superbly finger-tipped away by goalkeepeer Elliot Parish.

Kirk Broadfoot then stoops to direct a header at goal, but his effort crashes off the crossbar with Parish arching his back and stretching every sinew to reach it.

He's was beaten there had it not been for the frame of his goal.

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:42 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 St Mirren

Junior Morias scoops a shot high and wide after being found by St Mirren team-mate Marcus Fraser.

Will the visitors live to rue missing these chances?

  12. Buddies on toppublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 St Mirren

St Mirren certainly have the upper hand in this match. Hamilton are struggling to get into the attacking third and, when they do, they cannot get the ball to stick.

    Goal

    United are back in it!

Luke Bolton does well to get to the byline and dink in a ball into the box. The cross reaches Adrian Sporle who volleys towards goal before a ricochet allows Peter Pawlett to stab home the equaliser.

    Game on!

Coll Donaldson has given County the lead

What a chance for County to double their advantage.

Ross Stewart takes a chipped ball from the left down on his chest, but the big striker scoops the ball over the bar from close range. He should've been hitting the target at the very least.

United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist felt there should've been a foul for a push by Stewart, but nothing was given.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:38 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstone

Kilmarnock midfielder Mitchell Pinnock is fouled by Shaun Rooney when clean through on goal.

Andrew Dallas awards a free-kick in the D but opts not to send Rooney off, presumably because the big defender made an attempt to play the ball.

As Chris Burke lines up the set piece, defender Stuart Findlay curls a left-footed drive at goal only for goalkeeper Elliot Parish to throw himself to his right to palm it away.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:36 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 St Mirren

Junior Morias tests Hamilton goalkeeper Ryan Fulton with a fierce left-foot strike.

St Mirren's front two are giving the hosts a difficult afternoon.

  18. Kabamba fouled when through on goalpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstone

Killie midfielder Alan Power sets Nicke Kabamba racing towards the St Johnstone goal, but the big striker is clearly held back by Jason Kerr, who gets a grip of his jersey.

Referee Andrew Dallas, well positioned, doesn't award a foul - Kabamba, commendably, keeps his cool.

This game is running away from the hosts. St Mirren look dangerous every time they have a corner.

Moments ago, Kyle McAllister volleyed powerfully from outside the box and only a deflection took it wide.

Big Coll Donaldson with a clean strike and it has to be a good one to beat Benjamin Siegrist, because I like the big goalkeeper. It looks like he was a bit unsighted
