Hibs have come into it more now, but I'd like to see them build from the back. The goalkeeper is kicking it all the time and Motherwell's centre-backs are good in the air

  5. Postpublished at 24mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Motherwell

Motherwell do not look like a side with only one point compares to their hosts' nine.

They are looking the more dangerous and Hibs are looking a bit nervy at the back.

They lose the ball just outside their own penalty box, but Sherwin Seedorf blasts a drive well over the crossbar.

Great run from O'Donnell. But he swivelled on to his left foot when he would have been better shooting with his right

  7. CLOSE!published at 20mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Motherwell

There were question marks about how fit Stephen O'Donnell might be after a summer without a club was only ended yesterday.

However, the Scotland right-back finds himself in the centre-forward position.

He makes a nice turn to make space for himself but prods it just wide with his left foot from 12 yards.

Mugabi looks the weak link. He's rash and giving away needless fouls. On top of that, he kicks the ball away and risks a booking.

First thing you notice about Josh Doig is a young guy playing with freedom. Every time he gets the ball he's positive and wants to get forward. He wants the ball and it's great to see

Rice's side have lost three out of three in the Premiership so far

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice: "We started the game really well then St Mirren took control of the first half. Second half, we were at it.

"The second half, that's the kind of performance I'm after. If we keep doing that, the goals will come. Second half was the best we've played this season.

"I feel a wee bit aggrieved that we didn't get anything from the game. I thought the goal was going to come. The pleasing thing is we kept going and we're making chances

"When you don't win a game, it's very concerning, but all we can do now is prepare for next week, for a derby match against Motherwell."

  20. Squad can cope with injuries - Robinsonpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Hibernian v Motherwell (17:30)

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson has calmed down from his midweek outburst of criticism of some of his players.

"I think a lot of people did their job in the three games," he tells BBC Radio Scotland.

"There were a couple of things we had to rectify after Wednesday night and hopefully we will do that today.

"We are dealing with injuries a bit earlier than normal, but I think we have the squad to cope.

"I don't think Hibs will sit in against us as other teams have done and maybe that will suit us."
