    Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers

Hamilton have moved from four at the back to a 3-5-2, but it has made little difference to the flow of play.

The home side still lack the bite and determination required to knock off their stride a Rangers side that look like they are out for a Sunday stroll 24 hours early.

    Craig Levein

It may be the league is decided on goal difference this year and, in games like this, with Rangers so much on top, they should be scoring five or six

    HT: Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers

    Michael Stewart

    Quote Message

Rangers have dominated from start to finish and could easily be four or five up. Hamilton haven't laid a glove on the visitors - they are so passive all over the park

  15. Can Rangers match 114-year-old Celtic record?published at 18:26 British Summer Time 29 August 2020

    HT: Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers

Steven Gerrard's side will become the first Scottish team in 114 years to open a top-flight season with six clean sheets in a row if they avoid conceding a goal in the next 45 minutes. Celtic last did it under Willie Maley in 1906.

Rangers are the only side yet to concede a goal in this season's Premiership and the first to avoid conceding a goal in their opening five games in the competition since Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2014-15.

  17. Accies' 84-year wait to be extended?published at 18:23 British Summer Time 29 August 2020

    HT: Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers

Hamilton were the last Scottish team to win at Ibrox, with a surprise 1-0 win in March, but they have not beaten today's visitors on their own patch since January 1936.

Indeed, Rangers have won 10 times in a row there since a 3-3 draw in January 2010, scoring 27 goals in their latest six visits - an average of 4.5 per game. So much for visiting teams not enjoying the artificial surface!

Hamilton ended a three-game losing run by winning away to Motherwell last weekend but are hosting a side unbeaten in six league games stretching into last season and look to be heading for a seventh.

  18. HALF-TIME Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangerspublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 29 August 2020

Rangers are easing to a three-point lead over Hibs at the top of the Premiership.

The goals have come rather easily for Steven Gerrard's side, who have dominated from start to finish of the first 45 minutes.

Close-range finishes from Ianis Hagi and James Tavernier look to have ensured that Rangers are leaving FOYS with yet another victory.

    Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers

When Livingston took a point off Rangers a couple of weeks ago, they were in the visitors' faces from kick-off, playing the ball long to good effect to put pressure on Steven Gerrard's side.

Indeed, Rangers last season found it difficult to break down sides who pressed them high up the park.

However, Hamilton are sitting off their opponents and, almost inevitably, the Glasgow side have taken a couple of the many chances they have created.
