Quote MessageAccies will be delighted if they can get in at half-time with just a two-goal deficit
Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers
A moment of danger in the Rangers penalty box as Marios Ogkmpoe chases a ball placed behind the visiting defence.
However, goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin is quick off his line to push clear.
Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers
Accies at last string a sequence of passes together.
However, a deflected cross-come-shot from former Rangers full-back Lee Hodson spins into the arms of goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin.
At least that is an effort on target for the home side. Progress for them.
Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers
It definitely should be three now.
A clever little back-heel from Ryan Kent tees up Kemar Roofe 15 yards out, but the English striker hooks his strike well wide.

Rangers are completely in command here. The visitors passing the ball around with ease, with Accies not really pressurising the opposition to try to get the ball. It looks like Accies' poor home record against Rangers in the league isn’t going to improve any time soon.

Rangers centre-half Conor Goldson picks up a needless booking for a foul on Andy Winter.
Hamilton Academical 0-2 Rangers
It probably should be three for Rangers as a passage of passing around the edge of the penalty box and Ryan Kent finds Ianis Hagi in the clear.
The Romanian midfielder is only 10 yards out but fires straight into the legs of goalkeeper Ryan Fulton.

Quote MessageSo simple. Tavernier spends so much time in the final third of the field and should be scoring goals as well as assisting. Credit to him for finishing that off
James Tavernier
Rangers are in total command already.
Ryan Kent weaves inside from the left wing, goalkeeper Ryan Fulton can only parry away the cross-come-shot and James Tavernier, who missed that earlier chance, is on hand to side-foot home his first goal of the season.

Quote MessageThe quality of Rangers' crossing so far has been exceptional. If Hamilton lose another goal quickly, they could be in real trouble here.
Ianis Hagi
Borna Barisic is being given too much time to swing in these dangerous outswinging crosses.
The Croat's delivery produces more this time as Kemar Roofe's flicked header is turned on to the crossbar by Ryan Fulton, but the goalkeeper is unable to gather as it drops his way on the ground and Ianis Hagi is first to react and sweeps it into the net.
Hamilton Academical 0-0 Rangers
Borna Barisic sweeps in a curling cross to the back post, but there are no takers from any of the left-back's Rangers team-mates.
Hamilton Academical 0-0 Rangers
Scott McMann is going to be walking a tightrope for the next 80 minutes as the Accies defender is shown a yellow card for a bit of a rugby tackle on Ryan Kent as the winger skips past him just inside the home half.

Hamilton Academical 0-0 Rangers
The game has started as we would have expected, with Rangers dominating possession.
Brandon Barker's long ball to the back post finds James Tavernier, but the captain volleys wastefully wide.
Hamilton Academical 0-0 Rangers
Rangers get the game under way at Fountain Of Youth Stadium.
Will Steven Gerrard's side end the evening three points clear of Hibs at the top of the Premiership or will Accies end a long wait for a home win against the Glasgow side?
Hamilton Academical v Rangers (17:30)
Hamilton head coach Brian Rice has "no qualms" about playing 18-year-old pair Reegan Mimnaugh and Andrew Winter, who are promoted from the bench alongside fellow midfielder Charlie Trafford.
"The three of them did very well after on last week," he tells BBC Radio Scotland. "Mimnaugh and Trafford controlled the game, they can get on the ball and pass it. When you face the Old Firm, it's important you don't just give possession away.
"It's normal for us not to have a lot of the ball against better teams. So the game-plan is to deal with it as best we can and attack Rangers when we have the opportunity."
