Better already as Mitrovic rolls a defender to get a shot in, comfortably saved by Bernd Leno though.

Yep, Willian has got all three assists in fantasy football but only two on our stats. Bit of a divide in the footballing stats community.

A decent start to life as an Arsenal player...

Here he is! Alexsandar Mitrovic and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa are on for Fulham as Scott Parker looks for some life.

As an Arsenal fan, the signing of Willian on a free is the best thing since garlic bread!

Stuart Mitchell: seen enough of Fulham already in this match to be certain they are going straight back down. Quite frankly they are no where near a premier league side.

Jerry Elumeze: Criminal defending by Fulham leaving 3 Arsenal players unmarked for a corner kick. Promptly going back to the Championship if this continues

Here's my beef with sides like Fulham, or Norwich, who are based around playing football 'the right way' and pass out from the back etc. If you're just not good enough to do it at this level then effectively you're offering nothing.

At least teams who are hard to break down, dangerous from set-pieces etc are always in with a chance. Now, for example, what plan B have Fulham got to turn to?

Arsenal have a wretched start to the season, playing 6 of last season's top 7 in their first 9 games, so they need to win games like this!

    Ben - Cambridge

Cue Arsenal fans getting carried away, beating a soft Fulham side. Then when they lose against Burnley on a couple of set pieces, it will be back to the usual doom and gloom!

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (57 mins)

    Well that was brilliant.

Did you see Arsenal's goal on the counter in the Charity Shield? Fulham didn't as they concede a carbon copy.

Willian looks up and picks out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left, you know what's coming, chop inside and then whistle a curler into the far corner.

    An opening-day peach!

    Fulham 0-2 Arsenal

That is a decent strike! Joe Bryan's free-kick from the left flashes right through the Arsenal box, Aboubakar Kamara then lines up the return and thumps a low shot through a crowd and just wide. Fizzer.

Right then Fulham, let's make a game of it. Time to send Aleksandar Mitrovic out to warm up?

    YES.

    Gabriel (49 mins)

That, to be quite honest, is pathetic.

You won't get far in the Isthmian League defending a corner like that never mind the Premier League.

On his debut Gabriel is able to have a free header about three yards out, Michael Hector doesn't even jump, Gabriel misjudges it but it goes off his shoulder and in, through the legs of goalkeeper Marek Rodak.

    Just awful defending.

Adam Salter: The old Arsenal would concede a penalty around the 60 minute mark and we’d end up hanging on for a 1-1 draw, leaving us feeling both relieved and annoyed. Here’s hoping Arteta’s Arsenal has improved us beyond that.

Rob Holding brings the ball out juggling the ball on his instep, that's wonderful! Great skill and it brings up an Arsenal corner.

Pace! Wow, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang just leaves Michael Hector in his dust. That was electric, but Fulham regroup well to clear in the middle.
