I've been watching most games with the crowd noise so it's a refreshing change to try them without today.

    Man Utd 1-3 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We knew Manchester United didn’t play last week and that we had the mental advantage.

"If anything we could have won it by more than three goals. We had some chances and have added some quality since last season. It could have been a more handsome result but we will take that all day.

“We take confidence from previous results. We knew we had come here at a similar stage last season and won and we also took heart from it being their first game of the season. It gave us the confidence to believe we could come here and win the game."

Josh Verrils: Huge fan of Antonio, however, unsure what more Haller has to do to start a game under Moyes in the PL - made even more mind blowing by the fact he scored twice in midweek and arsenal always struggle against players with an aerial presence

Andy Walsh: shaw, lindelof, maguire are limited. Pogba flatters to deceive. Solskjaer isn’t a coach. Woodward is a joke to other football clubs. It’s embarrassing. Been a fan since 1976 so I’ve seen quite a bit and this is like the Atkinson years.

Ricky, Plymouth: How many managers does it take to get sacked before the Owners finally see where the problems lie?

CM: Wow, some lifelong united fans ready to ditch the entire club forever this evening. Must be tough supporting a club who have won so little in their history, and barely scraped into the champions league last season.

    Man Utd 1-3 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I thought that both defensively and offensively we were good.

"We made certain and kept them playing in front of us and they could not profit from those spaces they are skilful enough to find.

"And when we had the ball I thought we looked very dangerous and threatening so I don't think it was a big surprise that we scored three.

"When you come here you need to show you are going to play on the front foot and not just defend and let them do what they want on the ball. We started in the right way and finished in the right way.

"We were concerned about them getting behind our back four which they didn't do.

"We need to be very careful because Everton are in extremely good form and then we go to Chelsea, so the next two games will be equally hard for us to get anything from."
