The last time the Albion played in a blue top with pin stripes against United they lost the 1983 FA Cup final replay 4-0 - at the end of the season that they were relegated from the top flight. Hoping for a better result come the end of the match and the season. Come on boys.

Former Brighton striker Warren Aspinall on BBC Radio Sussex: "Yes its Man Utd, and a big challenge, but this is what players want.
"After last week's win, we have to be confident. Its all about how WE perform. Don't give them any respect, get in their faces, stop them playing and work hard as a team."

Seriously Ole? Lindelof and Shaw!! You never learn. Spineless management.
Darren
Bailly has the makings of a great centre-back. He needs continuity and put his occasional overconfidence in check. Lindelof has proven time and again he is not fit for purpose. Too many distractions, weak challenges, and pure naivety. If we're not going to sign anyone, at least give others a try. Even Tuanzeve when he's fit.

Manchester United
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells BT Sport: "We knew we were a couple of weeks behind and we looked a bit short. We were not ready from the start against Crystal Palace but we have had a good week of training and a good game against Luton. We should be ready today.
"This team played really well here last season and some of them were not ready to start last weekend but hopefully are now ready to perform in the Premier League.
"We played really well against Brighton because they are good on the ball and sharp and Graham has really put his principles in place. If we turn up defensively, we have to be ready to press and we have to be sharper on the ball."

I don't think Lindelof is the greatest but that's the same defence that only conceded 3 more than Liverpool and 1 more than City last season so think it's yet another massive overreaction to one poor performance.
Mark, Oldham
At this stage, Teden Mengi is a better choice than Lindelof.
Joel Sparks, Flintshire
No Mata no Ighalo no James on the bench. Just Lingard and Van De Beek. Clear message form Solksjaer to the Man Utd board reinforcements needed and rest of the attacking options just not good enough.

It’s a stuttering start. I don’t want to get on United’s or Solskjaer's back yet because it’s only one game in.
In the game you have to form relationships with the players around you. You have to know where your team-mates are.
I’m not going to panic about United – I think they’ll be OK.

I have not seen anyone in Europe play as well as Tariq Lamptey so far this season. I am giggling at things he is doing. He has been phenomenal and is leading the way.

Brighton manager Graham Potter tells BT Sport: "It was a nice result and performance against Newcastle. We need to start again today against a top team and that is the challenge. The boys are looking forward to it, pitching ourselves against one of the best team in the league.
"We have played a lot of the top teams post lockdown and we had had draws but the challenge is to try and win today. The past is the past, we need to focus on the now.
"Adam Lallana has been great for us about how he plays and interacts with the rest of us and we will need his experience.
"We cannot really focus too much on Manchester United, we have to do as well as we can and as a team we have to have a good balance in defence and attack."

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber talking to BT Sport: "The Premier League and EFL have been talking, we have our issues here as well.It is difficult for Premier League clubs but the biggest concern is all the way down the pyramid. It is a real worry, our mind is to help these cubs where we can.
"We have to spend and invest in players to generate TV income keeping us alive. It is a balancing act to make sure our business can survive and the football pyramid can survive. That is Important for communities up and down the country, we are very well aware of that.
"The bottom of the pyramid is vital for the top clubs, we are very conscious how important it is not just for development for players but for communities. 90% of the people we employ are local and protecting their jobs is vital for the city. That is the same up and down the country.
"We are one if few industries who haven't received any help from government. We are trying to pay our own way and that is difficult, It is a very difficult time for everyone and we need all the help we can get."
