If I was a Wolves player I would be listening to a good dressing down from the manager. That performance wasn't good enough. I think he will change his shape. The front players are too isolated. He has got to move it from a front three to a front two and get more connection and support to Raul Jiminez. I would move Adama Traoré into a more central role.

No such woe in Leeds, though...

Manchester City

Man City midfielder Rodri talking to Sky Sports: "It is very difficult to explain. When someone knocks you out you are confused and dont know what happens.

"Football has not been fair with us. We deserve many things, we proposed many things in the game, we played we try. We tried many things, they tried two or three things.

"Maybe it is our fault, maybe it is their strength. I am young and try to learn every game but games ike this where opposition do nothing, you are a bit confused. You dont know what to do.

"We needed to be more patient. It is hard, but it is the second game of the season and we have to try to see what we need to do to avoid it again.

Wolves have been slow, but credit to West Ham they have played well. My only criticism is that they should be two or three goals up.

Good half of football, that.

West Ham lead, but they should be in total control. That Wolves remain firmly in it is down to the home side's misses.

Wolves remain firmly in this game, partly as a result of West Ham's profligacy. They underline this with a Ruben Neves shot from the edge of the box that Fabianski has to dive low to stop.

What a miss!

Michail Antonio muscles his way past his marker and fires an angled shot that Rui Patricio palms out to Pablo Fornals, who has the goal at his mercy but somehow conspires to fire his effort well over.

It's the kind of miss a team could really come to regret.

The Zoom call from David Moyes will be "we need to go 2-0 up, don't let Wolves back into this game".

You have to have that ruthless streak. That has been West Ham's problem, maybe for the past year. They have played well, but haven't put the ball in the back of the net.

Yet to find a final ball, Wolves. Raul Jimenez slides in Semedo down the right, but the cut back into the box is to nobody.

Nélson Semedo is great going forward but he's not great at tracking back. He leaves massive gaps, because he is a right winger in his mind. You have got to do your job defensively as well. He tracks back a little too slow. He will learn, but might learn the hard way.

Fredericks is proving a very useful outlet down the right for West Ham. He charges to the byline again and chips over a cross that Soucek gets to but fluffs his header.

Soon after, Antonio turns in possession and fires a shot that goes wide.

They have had their chances in this half, West Ham. They lead but they could be out of sight.

Pedro Neto delivers the corner and Raul Jimenez meets it but only to send the ball spinning into the air and the grasp of Fabianski.
