In response to Nick M's comment, I have been to Karen Carney's local chippy. Chips are above average but if you add their curry sauce they are magical!

If I was a Wolves player I would be listening to a good dressing down from the manager. That performance wasn't good enough. I think he will change his shape. The front players are too isolated. He has got to move it from a front three to a front two and get more connection and support to Raul Jiminez. I would move Adama Traoré into a more central role.

  5. 'Football has not been fair with us'published at 19:56 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    Man City 2-5 Leicester

    Manchester City

Man City midfielder Rodri talking to Sky Sports: "It is very difficult to explain. When someone knocks you out you are confused and dont know what happens.

"Football has not been fair with us. We deserve many things, we proposed many things in the game, we played we try. We tried many things, they tried two or three things.

"Maybe it is our fault, maybe it is their strength. I am young and try to learn every game but games ike this where opposition do nothing, you are a bit confused. You dont know what to do.

"The learning is do 100 passes at the back and the game is over. But we tried to score a second and third. For me they are lucky, it is not the way I like to play."

Jambarrell: You can complain about handballs, you can say it would be better with fans, you can say there wasn't enough pre-season...but who would argue this isn't the most exciting goalfest unpredictable start to a Premier League ever? And Saturday/Sunday night games too! More please.

  7. 'I am going to find solutions'published at 19:54 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    Man City 2-5 Leicester

    Manchester City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola talking to MOTD: "They defend so deep and the lack of creating chances we got nervous. They did not want to play, they just wanted to counter attack.

"We know that Vardy runs from far, far away and Barnes you have to control him. But the moment we started to get nervous, we thought we were not doing well.

"We are not going to create 10 chances. We have to know it is difficult. Even at 5-2 Leicester were in the 18-yard box.

"I am not going to give up, I am going to try to find solutions."

  8. 'We don't have the players to attack the box'published at 19:52 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    Man City 2-5 Leicester

    Manchester City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola talking to Sky Sports: "We played a really good first half and scored early on. They defend so deep it is not easy.

"The problem was was we put extra pressure on ourselves to score the second and third. We need to be more calm, we don't have the players to attack the box that we need.

"We got nervous and gave three penalties and when you give three penalties you cannot win. I don't know how many chances they created.

"We needed to be more patient. It is hard, but it is the second game of the season and we have to try to see what we need to do to avoid it again.

"I feel bad for the guys and for the club."

Wolves have been slow, but credit to West Ham they have played well. My only criticism is that they should be two or three goals up.

    Good half of football, that.

West Ham lead, but they should be in total control. That Wolves remain firmly in it is down to the home side's misses.

    West Ham 1-0 Wolves

Wolves remain firmly in this game, partly as a result of West Ham's profligacy. They underline this with a Ruben Neves shot from the edge of the box that Fabianski has to dive low to stop.

In response to Karen Carney's comment on Declan Rice. Remind me never to go to Karen Carney's local chippy. Seems like a lovely bloke but too limited for a top 6 side.

    What a miss!

Michail Antonio muscles his way past his marker and fires an angled shot that Rui Patricio palms out to Pablo Fornals, who has the goal at his mercy but somehow conspires to fire his effort well over.

It's the kind of miss a team could really come to regret.

The Zoom call from David Moyes will be "we need to go 2-0 up, don't let Wolves back into this game".

You have to have that ruthless streak. That has been West Ham's problem, maybe for the past year. They have played well, but haven't put the ball in the back of the net.

Nélson Semedo is great going forward but he's not great at tracking back. He leaves massive gaps, because he is a right winger in his mind. You have got to do your job defensively as well. He tracks back a little too slow. He will learn, but might learn the hard way.

Fredericks is proving a very useful outlet down the right for West Ham. He charges to the byline again and chips over a cross that Soucek gets to but fluffs his header.

Soon after, Antonio turns in possession and fires a shot that goes wide.

They have had their chances in this half, West Ham. They lead but they could be out of sight.
