  1. '£40m for Rice - that's an absolute bag of chips'published at 19:34 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

I think Declan Rice is worth more than £40million, if that's the rumour. He's 21, he's English - because you need home players on your books. That's way too cheap. Personally, he is worth so much more to West Ham than that. If you got 10 more years out of him, that's an absolute bag of chips in my opinion.

Bobby Seagull: Without the benefit of home fans cheering them on, no Premier League home team has won their match this weekend so far. Bowen scores to give West Ham a home lead against Wolves. Too early to count my chickens?

Elliot Coenen: VAR are just checking that West Ham goal, it appears at the beginning of the game the referee used his hands to carry the ball onto the pitch.

    How is it still 1-0?

Michail Antonio's deflected cross loops to Soucek at the back post and his header draws a fine save from Rui Patricio. Bowen hooks the ball back into the mixer but Willy Boly is just able to get to it ahead of Antonio.

    Breathless stuff.

Close. Pedro Neto has a pop from range but his shot drifts a few yards wide. Fabianski either knew he wasn't reaching it or that it was going wide. Didn't budge an inch.

The ball was rolling, rolling ahead of the free-kick that led to the West Ham goal and it just about stops as he was going to pass it to Jarrod Bowen. Very lucky, but I still think it was a few yards forward.

And Wolves respond, with a chipped free-kick that Raul Jimenez is prevented from getting a goalbound touch on by the diving Lukasz Fabianski.

Oh, wait, flag was up. Wouldn't have counted anyway.

There are more goals in this.

Oh, Thomas Soucek almost makes it 2-0. Arthur Masuaku is allowed to run and run and run, exchanging passes with a team-mate before swinging over a cross that Soucek pokes towards goal and draws a good save from Rui Patricio.

This is warming up very nicely. Both sides swinging haymakers. For a second, Wolves look like they're in, but Raul Jimenez's control lets him down at the crucial moment in the box.

You look at a team like West Ham and you fear for them. Where are the big names? Where are the match-winners?

    Dave, London

Well Dave, I think Jarrod Bowen just put his hand up...

I can picture the Moyes living room now. David leaping to his feet with a scream, the dog fleeing terrified from the room as his wife comes darting in. "What is it David?"

    "We've scored, love. We've scored!"

"Oh, is that all. And besides, shouldn't you be in bed?"

Going back to the start of the move. The free-kick wasn't taken from where the ball was won and Wolves are feeling aggrieved. But the goal was absolutely brilliant. Wonderful finish. Jarrod Bowen is a quality player - he has just got to believe it now and he will start delivering in the Premier League.

    First blood to the Hammers!

They catch Wolves napping, with Fornals taking a quick free-kick to send Jarrod Bowen scampering deep into enemy territory. He sizes up the net before curling a superb finish into the far corner past Rui Patricio.

It's against the run of play but will West Ham care? No, no they will not.

When they get it into Declan Rice he changes the tempo for West Ham. That's what you want to see more of - his energy and intensity - throughout the whole team. How is he only 21 years of age? He plays like an experienced pro. I love watching him. Even defensively he is spot on. Protecting that back four. Top player.

Looks like Stuart Pearce is the man liaising with David Moyes. He is decked out in a headset, with a notepad in front of him.

I mean, he might be doing his weekly zoom quiz with the lads. Bet he's good on a music round.
