"Play one touch," screams Chris Wilder across the pitch to one of his players. The hosts are working out that if they beat Leeds' press, there is space to work with.

A couple of mazy runs by centre-back Chris Basham have certainly helped, but Wilder wants quicker passing when they are further up the field.

    Good chance this for Leeds.

Kalvin Phillips curls in a lovely cross into the box, Patrick Bamford meets it but cannot keep his header down.

Are Sheff Utd suffering from second season syndrome or just bad luck so far in the Premier League?

Neither side has been able to make much of an inroad into the opposition box at Bramall Lane in the opening stages.

Could this be the first 0-0 of the Premier League season?

Sheffield United growing into the game now and starting to wrestle control.

The approach play is actually quite decent, one touch stuff fizzing the ball into each other's feet but then the final delivery into the box lets them down.

Now Ethan Ampadu gets a chance to foray forward but his pass goes right, Oliver Burke goes left and the opportunity is lost.

John Lundstram finds some space down the right but his ball into the box is poor.

Sheffield United have not scored a goal so far this season, they are going to need better quality than that if they are to break their duck.

Might not be any Leeds fans in the ground, but their team has started like a train. Switching positions, screaming to tell each other where to stand, and a couple of decent chances too.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are continually asking questions of Sheffield United, and are so well-drilled. The Blades are starting to get to grips with the pace, though.

Good goalkeeping from Leeds number one Illan Meslier, darting quickly off his line to collect the ball ahead of David McGoldrick.

Lively start to this derby at Bramall Lane. Jack Harrison had a great early chance to shoot from 25 yards but cut inside and the move broke down.

Nice move from the hosts and they open Leeds up quite comfortably.

Oliver Burke plays a nice reverse pass into the feet of John Lundstram inside the area but the Blades midfielder snatches at it and scuffs wide.

Good opening from Leeds, straight on the front foot.

Full-back Luke Ayling trots forward and stings the palms of Blades goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale with a 20 yards drive.

That was arrowing towards the far corner.
