    Everton 0-0 Man City

Not much to shout about in the north west. Jill Scott sees a shot from a tight angle easily gathered by Everton keeper Sandy MacIver.

    Spurs 1-1 Brighton

Worth mentioning that Tottenham head coach Rehanne Skinner along with many other coaches and players are wearing rainbow laces in support of the Stonewall campaign in the WSL this weekend.

Meanwhile, Everton have a flurry of corners in our main game. But nothing comes of them.

You know what Simon, so do I. I just have this gut feeling that we're going to see at least one upset today.

Simon Atkins: The longer this stays at 0-0 with Arsenal having all the play, they'll start to get frustrated and make mistakes. I reckon, somewhat ridiculously, Birmingham could nick this.

  6. Postpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Everton 0-0 Man City

Everton have a half chance but leading scorer Hayley Raso can't quite deflect a cross goalwards.

    Better from the hosts.

  7. goal

GOAL: Reading 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Emma Bissell (43 mins)

The Robins score and what a time to do it!

It's a cracking counter-attack from Bristol City who have been under a lot of pressure.

Sophie Baggaley saved from Reading's Jess Fishlock and started the break which was ended with Emma Bissell's first WSL goal.

Clinical and that's a big goal for the visitors, but they need to hold on until half-time now.

    Everton 0-0 Man City

All City, they've raced straight out the blocks. This time Ellen White goes close with a header, although the England forward was later flagged for offside.

Everton take a wise breather before they get the game restarted.

    Inessa Kaagman (33 mins, pen)

The visitors are level from the penalty spot as Inessa Kaagman coolly slots the spot-kick past the reach of Becky Spencer in the Spurs goal.

A blow for Spurs, can they get their noses back in front before the break?

  10. CLOSE!published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Everton 0-0 Man City

A classic City counter and Caroline Weir sets up Demi Stokes.

The full-back's shot is deflected just wide. Close that.

  11. CLOSE!published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

Arsenal 0-0 Birmingham City; Spurs 1-0 Brighton; Reading 0-0 Bristol City

American international striker Alex Morgan has gone close with a header from a corner as Spurs look for the insurance policy of a second goal.

Remember they haven't won a league game this season.

In Reading, Sophie Baggaley is being kept honest in the Bristol City goal and has tipped a Natasha Harding shot onto the crossbar and over to keep it all-square.

Arsenal haven't been too discouraged - actually not at all - by the penalty miss. They are knocking on the door and with Birmingham struggling to get out of their own half, it feels like a case of if not when the opener will arrive.

  12. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

Never mind, fixed it now! Five minutes late, we get going.

  13. Postpublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Everton 0-0 Man City

And still we wait. Anybody got any string to fix the City goal?

  14. Postpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Everton 0-0 Man City

Actually no it doesn't. I thought the ref blew to get us started. Instead she called over her assistant to re-check the goal nets. Looks like there's a hole in one of the goals.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Everton 0-0 Man City

A huge tie in the WSL gets under way.

  16. Taylor names strong City sidepublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

Everton v Man City (14:30 BST)

Plenty of experience and familiar faces in Gareth Taylor's Manchester City side facing Everton this afternoon.

England's Lucy Bronze, Steph Houghton, Jill Scott and Ellen White make up a strong spine for City at Walton Hall Park.

  17. Everton looking up the tablepublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

Everton v Man City (14:30 GMT)

Fourth-placed Everton go into the game ahead of Manchester City by two points and feasibly they could end the day in second if all results go their way today.

While that may be unlikely, it is certainly a positive sign for the direction in which the team are going.

Everton v Man City (14:30 GMT)

One more game to kick off in the WSL today as Everton host Manchester City in a repeat of the FA Cup final. Let's grab some team news.

  19. Postpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    FT: Chelsea 3-2 West Ham

Fair play to Chelsea. They did just about enough and have now won 12 consecutive WSL home games. A new league record.

The last time West Ham came to Kingsmeadow they lost 8-0. There are a lot of positives to take from this tie for the visitors.

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:25 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2020

    Chelsea 3-2 West Ham

That's it! Sam Kerr's hat-trick is enough for the champions.
