Darren: Cometh the hour, cometh Giroud. Superlatives needed? I think not!

GosBoss: Sometimes you just got to take that chance...well done VAR, without it then it would be offside..super goal!

It's an incredible finish from Giroud. It's not the most powerful of overhead kicks - it actually kicks off the turf as it goes in but he manages to claw it round with his big toe almost! It's a perfect finish.

As soon as the ball went in, three out of the four Atletico players claimed for offside but Hermoso, who I feel had the touch, put his hands to his head straight away!

    GOOOOOOOAL. It counts!

I think the question was whether he was offside but an Atletico player got the last touch before it reached Olivier Giroud.

That is a wonderful goal from the France striker, a proper overhead kick. A thing of beauty.

They haven't shown any replays for some reason so I'm not sure if it's an offside or handball check.

Think the last time I saw Luis Suarez holding his mouth was after he tried to eat Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

It's all going on. Chelsea have a corner and there's some pinball. Atletico counter and Luis Suarez gets a whack on the jaw from Mateo Kovacic's arm on the halfway line. He goes down holding his mouth and Koke has a shot with the loose ball from about 50 yards. It goes wide.

Atletico have come out a little bit more, they are playing more in Chelsea's half, which has given the likes of Mount and Kovacic the chance to get forward. Maybe both teams are just going to turn it up a notch and try and search for that goal.

Patrick Walker: Everyone slagging Atletico off. Home 0-0 draw then going away to an empty ground for the away leg is a tactical masterpiece.

Game screaming out for someone to take their man on. Really don't understand what Tuchel's got against Pulisic. He'd be first name on my teamsheet.
