  2. 'Liverpool have been the better team'published at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Liverpool 0-0 RB Leipzig (2-0 on agg)

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool should at least have a couple of goals to their name. They have been exciting going forward and have Leipzig problems.

Leipzig grew into the game in patches, but Liverpool have been the better team.

HT: PSG 1-1 Barcelona (5-2 on agg)

SIXTEEN shots for Barcelona in that first half, and nine on target.

That's the most shots they've had in the first half of any game this season.

If Ousmane Dembele in particular had taken his clear chances, Barca could already be level in the tie.

  5. 'Don't know how Jota misses by so much'published at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Liverpool 0-0 RB Leipzig (2-0 on agg)

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

That is a calamity of errors from Leipzig. Mohamed Salah gets on the wrong side of Lukas Klostermann and as the ball bounces down, Dayot Upamecano gets in a right mess with Peter Gulacsi - he just doesn't see him at all - and then Diogo Jota I don't get how he misses by that much from so close? It is a poor miss.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

PSG 1-1 Barcelona (5-2 on agg)

A VAR check for encroachment takes place and finds nothing against PSG.

Mauricio Pochettino's side get into the break level on the night and 5-2 up on aggregate after Lionel Messi misses a penalty in injury-time.

    A brilliant Champions League game!

  7. MISSED PENALTY - Barcelonapublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

PSG 1-1 Barcelona (5-2 on agg)

Lionel Messi steps up from the spot...

    AND HE MISSES!

Keylor Navas gets to it and the ball pings up onto the crossbar and away to safety.

    Another twist.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Liverpool 0-0 RB Leipzig (2-0 on agg)

Big chance right before half time.

The RB Leipzig defence is all over the place and Diogo Jota has a tap in from three yards but he somehow puts it into the sidenetting.

The whistle then goes for half time.

  9. PENALTY - Barcelonapublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

PSG 1-1 Barcelona (5-2 on agg)

    Hello!

Antoine Griezmann is brought down by Layvin Kurzawa and Anthony Taylor awards a penalty!

Decent performance from Liverpool so far, also this is due to injuries probably the strongest team they have been able to put out for ages.

Another stop by Keylor Navas! The PSG goalkeeper has been busy in this first half.

Again, Ousmane Dembele creates space for himself in the penalty area and he cuts the ball back to Sergio Busquets, but Navas blocks it low to his left.

This may be controversial but I feel Robertson can run around like a headless chicken sometimes this season. Never doubting his effort - maybe a bit more thought regarding final delivery.

  13. 'Leipzig causing Alexander-Arnold problems'published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Liverpool 0-0 RB Leipzig (2-0 on agg)

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Every time that one of the three Leipzig central defenders has the ball, Kevin Kampl is coming really short, which is drawing Thiago or Georginio Wijnaldum out to that player and it allows them to hit a straight ball to Emil Forsberg or Yussuf Poulsen which are then spinning it around the corner and it is causing Trent Alexander-Arnold problems because Christopher Nkunku is getting out down that side all the time.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Liverpool 0-0 RB Leipzig (2-0 on agg)

Diogo Jota is onto a loose ball and drives forward before letting fly with a shot that is denied by Péter Gulácsi.

Mo Salah doesn't appear happy though, he was free and had an open goal if Jota had spotted him.

  15. Postpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Lionel Messi just needs to do that three more times to save his side...

Who would have thought that PSG versus Barcelona would be the exciting game tonight..?

Still goalless in Budapest. This suits Liverpool but it's not particularly entertaining.

    Magnificent strike!

Lionel Messi picks the ball up about 25 yards from goal and catches a shot perfectly, sending it flying past Keylor Navas before he knows what has happened.

I think Leipzig will fancy this tonight. Keep it tight till HT then really go for it. Liverpool's lack of resilience of late will be a huge encouragement. Hope I'm wrong.

  19. Postpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

Liverpool 0-0 RB Leipzig (2-0 on agg)

Liverpool have had as many shots on target tonight as they did in the entire first leg (three). They've had chances but so have RB Leipzig. The first goal is going to be absolutely crucial.

  20. CLOSE!published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2021

PSG 1-0 Barcelona (5-1 on agg)

Another golden chance for Ousmane Dembele goes begging as he's denied by Keylor Navas at close range.

It's just not going Barca's way...

Ronald Koeman responds to Oscar Mingueza's booking by bringing on Junior Firpo.
