  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Almost a huge moment in this tie as Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema hits the post.

He sends Liverpool defenders one way and then the other with a mazy run from deep and his effort is deflected against the post by a defender I think.

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

Almost two! Dortmund skipper Marco Reus finds space on the left, a cross-shot needing Kyle Walker to divert out for a corner.

The delivery is poor and then City break clear quickly...

That is an amazing finish, the first touch is incredible! Haaland has a look around, holds Stones off and Bellingham takes an amazing touch with his left!

The placement of the ball and the composure to put it into the top corner for such a young boy is incredible.

Good defending by Eder Militao. Sadio Mane has a chance in the box but Militao gets there and draws a foul from the Liverpool forward.

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Liverpool win a free-kick on the right wing as Sadio Mane is fouled. Andy Robertson whips it in and Ozan Kabak heads over the bar. It was a difficult header to be fair, just behind the loanee.

  6. goal

GOAL - Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)published at 20:16 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

    Jude Bellingham

Hey Jude! He could make City sad.

English teenager Jude Bellingham puts Dortmund ahead with a stunner of a strike.

Erling Braut Haaland gets on the shoulder of John Stones, picking up a ball over the top and then diligently pulling back to Bellingham with the help of a deflection.

One touch to control, one to shift onto his right and another to bang it into the top corner.

    Brilliant.

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Manchester City (agg 1-2)

Nothing too scary for Manchester City yet, other than that Mahmoud Dahoud shot.

Ederson is called upon again though, quickly clearing with Erling Haaland bearing down.

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Manchester City (agg 1-2)

John Stones was moonlighting as Franz Beckenbauer on Saturday. He spent more time dribbling forward than actual defending... so far today it is more of the day job.

Dortmund enjoy a healthy spell of possession with Stones, using his head a couple of times to get the ball back to a City shirt.

  9. Postpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Real Madrid are having their first real spell of possession of the game. They need to just take the sting out of this.

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Another scare for Real. Sadio Mane is offside as he tries to get onto Trent Alexander-Arnold's high pass - and Thibaut Courtois gets there first anyway.

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

I suspect Liverpool fans will be very encouraged by this start. They need to start quickly and they have. Could do with a goal mind.

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Manchester City (agg 1-2)

Sharp pressing from City's front three players - which includes skipper Kevin de Bruyne. He seems to be the false nine.

Dortmund look slightly panicky as the blue shirts close in, but keep it together enough to pass around their opponents and move forward on the attack.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:11 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Brilliant save by Thibaut Courtois. James Milner, outside the box, hits a curling effort which looks like it's flying into the top corner but a diving Courtois gets his arm far enough out to tip it away.

  15. Postpublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Real Madrid's first chance but Luka Modric's 20-yard shot is deflected wide. They play the corner short and Karim Benzema is flagged offside from Toni Kroos' cross.

  16. Postpublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Real Madrid are without Dani Carvajal - and winger Lucas Vazquez who has been filling in at right-back.

They have Alvaro Odriozola, an actual right-back who has played for Spain and cost Real over 30m euros - but instead they're playing a back-up central midfielder there.

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Manchester City (agg 1-2)

Sloppy play from the City defence - and they are nearly punished.

A misplaced pass sees Dortmund win back possession in the City half, allowing Mahmoud Dahoud space and time to have a fly from 25 yards.

Crisp strike but straight into Ederson's hands.

    Phil McNulty

Liverpool have torn into Real Madrid here. They are not giving them a second on the ball - but Mo Salah simply had to take that golden chance.

What can you say about Kevin de Bruyne which hasn't been said? Not a lot. The smooth-as-silk Belgian pops up on the left, dropping his shoulder and crossing towards Phil Foden. Dortmund clear. Unconvincingly, but they clear.

  20. Postpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Sadio Mane wins another corner, he has the beating of Fede Valverde every time here.
