Just two shots on target so far. One each, with Dominic Solanke's fierce strike that was very well saved by Tim Krul the closest we have come to a goal.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Norwich

Bournemouth's Arnaut Danjuma had a great chance to control the ball deep into the Norwich box but makes a pig's ear of his first touch and the chance goes begging.

Jefferson Lerma was again again instrumental in the build-up.

At the other end Przemyslaw Placheta has a shot blocked. It's very end to end and both sides look dangerous on the break.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Norwich City

Kenny McLean starts the best Norwich move of the game so far that ends with the impressive Onel Hernandez darting into the box yet again.

His shot is blocked and the subsequent corner is once again too easily defended.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Norwich City

Onel Hernandez is pestering his way around the home defence, and he gets a shot away that is comfortably saved by Asmir Begovic for the concession of a corner.

A second corner follows but both lack imagination or quality and are cleared without fuss.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Norwich City

Former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke has looked sharp so far. His control has looked impeccable and he could so easily have had the second Cherries goal of his career just then.

That's more like it from the Canaries. Onel Hernandez's pace causes problems on the right and Steve Cook has to slide in and avert the danger, conceding a corner in the process.

The first corner of the game is cleared easily enough.

Norwich have barely got out if their half so far. Keeper Tim Krul claims a cross and could launch one down field for Teemu Pukki, the scorer of 29 goals the last time the Canaries were in the Championship, but plays it short.

Norwich are beginning to settle now though.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke reckons Bournemouth counterpart Jason Tindall's appointment as manager following Eddie Howe's departure is proof of a well-run club.

Howe left following their relegation in the summer, with fellow long-serving Cherries man Tindall stepping up from his role as assistant boss.

"It's a sign of consistency that they knew how to handle Eddie leaving," Farke said. "They don't want to change everything. They have a great chance to bounce back.

"The differences between assistant coach and head coach is a big difference, so when someone like Eddie leaves the club, it's never easy to follow such a big personality."

If one of the two teams is to win here this afternoon, then something has to give.

Jason Tindall takes charge of a Bournemouth side who have not lost in their past 15 Championship matches. They have won 10 and drawn five since a 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest in February 2015.

Norwich have gone one better, last losing in the second tier against Preston in February 2019. A run of 11 wins and five draw followed that 3-1 loss.

AFC Bournemouth v Norwich City (16:00 BST)

We are back with you. One down one to go.

And Sunday's second instalment of Championship football is a meeting between two sides who will probably still be feeling they should be involved in a game with Premier League points at stake.

Last season it was of course.

But however raw the protagonists are, a win today and a decent, unbeaten league start becomes a good start and the painful memories of relegation will further fade.

Bournemouth beat Blackburn on their season opener and gained a point from a trip to face Middlesbrough, while late goals saw Norwich beat Huddersfield and then draw with Preston.
