The pace has been relentless throughout the second half as both teams looked to go and claim the win.
Huge credit must go to NI, who got on the front foot from the interval and have not eased off since.
An interesting double substitution just before the full-time whistle from Ian Baraclough – bringing striker Kyle Lafferty and midfielder Jordan Thompson on to freshen things up.
This could be an interesting extra-time. And tense, too, of course.

So we're into the extra-time that must have been a pretty good bet before the start. But the Republic now surely have that nagging fear that they may have missed the boat after that terrible late miss by Conor Hourihane. In truth, substitute Alan Browne should have put the Republic ahead before that. Slovakia had their chances too but the Irish should be celebrating in the dressing-room by now.
