Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Northern Ireland
What a hit from Miralem Pjanic, sailing over the wall but crashing against the crossbar.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Northern Ireland
Now Bosnia have a free-kick.
This is in Miralem Pjanic territory...
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland well on top but that is not good from Paddy McNair, blazing a very ambitious shot way over from long range.

Quote MessageThat was a defensive horror show from the Bosnians for the equaliser. They look very vulnerable at the back and are struggling to keep focus. If Northern Ireland can get at their back four they know there are goals for them in this game. That goal will give Northern Ireland great belief and great hope.

End-to-end action!
George Saville thinks he can grab a second but his low shot from inside the area is well blocked by Branimir Cipetic.
Full-back Jamal Lewis follows up but his shot from his weaker foot sails narrowly over.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Northern Ireland
Great game this now.
Bosnia break to the other end and Rade Krunic is looking for a second but pokes a shot which Bailey Peacock-Farrell pushes away.
Good save.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Northern Ireland
It should be a quick-fire double!
Goalscorer Niall McGinn plays a cross into the box which Paddy McNair meets eight yards out, but he heads wide under pressure from Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac.
Niall McGinn
HOPES. ALIVE!!
Northern Ireland are back in it and it is well deserved after the start they have made to this second half.
I said Josh Magennis was causing problems and the striker wins an aerial header which Niall McGinn latches on to.
He gets a bit of luck when Sinisa Sanicanin's attempted clearance ricochets perfectly back into his path in the box and the Aberdeen man shows brilliant composure to side-foot a cool finish into the bottom corner.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 Northern Ireland
What's he doing up there??
Bosnia's Branimir Cipetic break forward from full-back and finds himself in a good position in the final third but then shows the defender in him by screwing horribly wide.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 Northern Ireland
Excellent start to the second half by NI, on the front foot and asking questions of the Bosnia backline.

Quote MessageNorthern Ireland will have been reasonably happy to come in at half-time just a goal down. Bosnia had the better chances of the first half but NI are coming into the game more and the tie is by no means over. We are creating chances and they know we can put them under pressure. On the negative side any kind of ball into the box is causing Northern Ireland problems.
Off we go again in both games.

Tommy Wright
Former Northern Ireland goalkeeper on Radio Ulster
Quote MessageBosnia have been in control for periods but Northern Ireland have kept themselves in the game and there is plenty of cause for optimism. They just need a bit more belief and a bit more composure in front of goal. Northern Ireland settled after the goal and got back in the game. They have to get the ball wide and into the box. When Northern Ireland put the ball into the box with any quality the Bosnian defence look all at sea.
Slovakia 0-0 Republic of Ireland

The Republic looked solid for most of the first half but had a couple of dangerous moments just before the break as Darren Randolph superbly denied Ondrej Duda before the same Slovakian player hooked just wide moments later.
Prior to that, James McClean had the best chance on 37 minutes but dragged his effort across the face of goal which allowed Martin Valjent to block.
With the Republic more direct, they looked the more threatening side in the opening 40 minutes when the home side's attempts at intricate build-ups didn't unduly trouble the Irish despite Marek Hamsik's excellence.
BBC Sport NI
BBC Sport NI understands that the Irish Football Association plans to allow 600 fans to attend the Nations League match against Austria on Sunday.
A ballot has already taken place to select the season ticket holders allowed to attend.
It is believed that the association were among a number of sports that met with the chief medical officer and chief scientific advisor within the last fortnight and explored a number of options within current restrictions.

Northern Ireland started the match with a slip from Paddy McNair as he went to kick off, and it was a slip by defender Jonny Evans that was the most costly moment of the half.
A few other NI players had failed to stay on their feet before the Leicester City defender going to ground helped pave the way for Rade Krunic to score.
Ian Baraclough’s men produced a decent response, with Josh Magennis and George Saville having great chances, but they need to impose themselves on the game more.
Corry Evans has produced a couple of decent crosses from the right but Niall McGinn on the opposite wing has been very much on the periphery.
Baraclough has speed in abundance on the bench in wingers Jordan Jones and Gavin Whyte, and you wonder if he will be tempted to bring them on as his side seek to get back into this play-off.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 Northern Ireland
Work to do for NI in the second half.
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland should level as George Saville finds the ball at the far post, but his thumping left-footed shot from six yards out deflects over.
Slovakia 0-0 Republic of Ireland
