Yawn. Gone are the days of an exciting deadline day...
Daniel Boxman in Manchester
West Ham United
David Blackmore, Blowing Bubbles magazine:
We desperately needed to strengthen the defence and had watched all our immediate rivals recruit prior to the arrival of Vladimir Coufal.
I fear we have had two summers of splurging on players who haven't made the grade so far and now there's very little left in the pot to meet today's valuation for the players we need.
I hope Declan Rice is still a West Ham player come the end of the the transfer window. At the moment, he's invaluable to us so I wouldn't accept anything for him.
We also need a centre back and importantly players who are ready to step straight into the Premier League quality but I don't think we have the budget to sign this calibre of player.

Just under six hours to go before the window shuts on international transfers to the Premier League.
Here's a reminder of the big domestic deals done and potential moves that we know of so far.
Wolves
Richard Hobbs, Wolves Football Fancast
Despite Wolves breaking their transfer record, the transfer window has not been a huge success. Nuno Espirito Santo likes a small squad but said during the break that Wolves needed more players to continue to push forward.
However, the players who have come in have essentially replaced outgoing players and not all of them are an immediate upgrade.
Hopefully Wolves complete a couple of major coups who can immediately improve the first team, but it’s been a while since Wolves have pulled off a late deal. We will probably end up signing a highly-rated youngster to play the the development squad, who will never play a first-team game.

Douglas Costa’s departure to Bayern Munich should mean Juventus now have nothing stopping them from finalising the deal they wanted to make on deadline day, 22-year-old Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, initially on loan.
He’s the son of Enrico Chiesa, who funnily enough, played at Parma with a certain Gianaluigi Buffon. So Buffon will have played alongside Chiesa the father at Parma, now he’ll line-up with Chiesa the son at Juve.
Chiesa Snr is in the middle, Buffon on the right, Thuram on the left (Whose son is also now tearing it up in the Bundesliga)
He talked about facing Federico as an opponent a couple of years ago: “The first time I faced Chiesa, I was disoriented. It was my first time playing against the son of a former teammates and I thought it might be time to retire. However, I’ve taken on a few now and consider it a gift from life, something to be happy about.”
Every year's the same Gaz! Yet we'll be here at gone 1am waiting for some fax to arrive won't we.
Afternoon all!
Right, my stint is done for the day after overseeing a grand total of zero moves to the Premier League during my watch.
Here's hoping Tom Rostance has better luck...
Arsenal
Akhil Vyas, Arsenal Supporters Trust:
Just when you think nothing will be happening, social media starts making noises about Thomas Partey.
Arsenal fans have heard about him all summer and while he won’t solve the creativity issue, it will help our transition from defence to attack and provide a solid base at the heart of the midfield. Can see a few more turns in this!
Juventus have confirmed that defender Mattia de Sciglio is heading to, external Lyon on loan.
The Italy full-back has made 62 appearances for Juve since joining from AC Milan in 2017 and has won the Scudetto three times.

Don't worry about the lack of action. After his recent public declarations, I'm expecting a flurry of embarrassingly desperate, last-minute moves from Tony Khan. Why have 4 mediocre centre-backs when you can have 6 or 7?
Tom in London
Dan: Just seen Sun Jihai with his kit bag in a phone box in Manchester. Looks like Pep making a move to re-sign with Aguero and Jesus injured
Keith: Davy Klaasen...couldn't hack it in England or Germany so takes the easy route back to Ajax. What a fraud.
Harsh words from Keith...
Another done deal overseas as Justin Kluivert joins RB Leipzig on loan from Roma.
The winger had been linked with a move to Arsenal., external

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will be staying at the club despite interest from Bayern Munich.
The 19-year-old England international was subject of a loan bid from the Bundesliga champions during this window.
But after Chelsea boss Frank Lampard said Hudson-Odoi was part of his plans this season and Bayern signed winger Douglas Costa on loan from Juventus, the teenager will fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi has started Chelsea’s last two games and scored after coming on as a substitute against West Brom last month.
He faces increased competition in the Chelsea team after Lampard signed attackers Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech this summer. Fellow winger Christian Pulisic has also returned from injury.

BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter
The proposed move of Marko Grujic from Liverpool to Werder Bremen is off.
Bremen do not have the funds for a permanent deal and the player will remain at Anfield.
Grujic spoke to Werder Bremen but they couldn’t sanction the deal.
An outgoing at Wolves as Ruben Vinagre heads to Olympiacos on a season-long loan.
The Greek champions have the option to make the move permanent.

On the train to Manchester and just seen Stuart Pearce and Razor Ruddock with their boots, apparently on their way to Old Trafford. That defensive crisis could be over!

I must say I think Aston Villa have done the best business of this transfer window. Kept the likes of Grealish and strengthened in the places that were needed. Infinitely better recruitment than last year.
Gavin Stewart
Southampton
Ben Stanfield, Total Saints Podcast:
Fifteen years after leaving Saints for Arsenal, Theo Walcott looks set to seal a season-long loan deal back at St. Mary's.
It's a move that, if I'm completely honest, sees an equal amount of pleasure and perplexity. Given Walcott can play on either wing, or offer an 'up top' option, you can understand why Ralph Hasenhuttl has looked to progress things.
However, now 31, and with a mixed fitness record over recent times, its not a signing that really fits with the modern Southampton strategy.
Ultimately, if it all goes through in time, I think the vast majority of Saints fans will be pleased to see Theo playing in red and white again.
A few clubs are going for the tried and tested today by bringing home former players.
Ajax are the latest after announcing the return of Davy Klaassen, who has signed from Werder Bremen.
The 27-year-old left Ajax in 2017 to join Everton before joining Werder a year later.
Tottenham Hotspur
Nathan A Clark, The Extra Inch Podcast:Between player swaps, loan-to-buys, shrewd negotiations and a manager, with connections, allure and who is willing to compromise on an ideal player in order to fill a whole - Spurs have managed to go from a sparse, depleted squad to one with back-ups for nearly every role in a single window.
Absolutely crucial for the chaotically heavy schedule ahead. With several loans in either direction and a considerably higher age profile at the club than Spurs are used to there’s definitely a sense of the short-term focus you might expect from a Mourinho side but Spurs can now take those kind of risks in search of silverware.
Tottenham enter the final day looking to shift on a little deadwood and sign an aggressive centre-back who can play on the left.
