As an Arsenal fan, I'd be overjoyed to see Wilshere signed up again, even if used in a minor role. Yes he's injury prone, but he's passionate and hard-working, always worth the risk with Ozil wasting away on much more money regardless.

What the signing of Alex Telles means for Brandon Williams, I'm not too sure because there have been a couple of Premier League clubs who have been looking at him.
Maybe with Williams able to play on both the left and right side of defence, he might feel he has more of a chance of getting regular games at Manchester United as a back-up to both Luke Shaw and now Telles on that left-hand side.

Is Walcott walking to Southampton from Liverpool?
Matt
Amad Traore will join Manchester United in January, to be clear.

Bobby_comb: The story no-one's reporting - Man Utd have been very aggressive in the youth-level transfer market: Marc Jurado (Barca), Alejandro Garnacho (Atletico), Charlie McNeill (City), Álvaro Fernandez (Real), Willy Kambwala (Sochaux). That's an exciting list.

The long-term pursuit of Jadon Sancho has ultimately failed. There was a lot of chatter about Ousmane Dembélé, nothing has materialised out of that. There will be many Manchester United supporters still feeling that their business, when you consider the other teams in the top six, is still underwhelming.
Manchester United
Manchester United have signed Atalanta winger Amad Traore Diallo then.
United have been monitoring Traore, 18, for the past three years as he came through the ranks at the Italian club.
The Ivorian scored on his Serie A debut in October 2019 and has made three substitute appearances in Italy's top flight.

Blimey! An actual deal!

Aouar after Aouar we’ve waited for you to Telles about Cavani. Hurry up, I’m waiting to Partey…

It's that time of night on transfer deadline day...Craig in Sleaford has officially gone.

Edinson Cavani's signing is now just a question of the announcement, but there is no real pressure for Manchester United to make that announcement, although many are expecting it to come tonight, because he is a free signing.

Arsenal fans have every right to be excited it seems....

Alex Telles has been a long-term target for Manchester United, it was just a question of finding a suitable fee for Porto.
He only had a year left on his contract but Porto were looking for around 20 million euros. The figure is £13.6 million that Manchester United have paid for the 27-year-old.
He has chipped in with a lot of goals for Porto. I have seen him play at left-back. He will be a good signing.
Southampton
Does this pave the way for Theo Walcott's arrival?
Sofiane Boufal has joined Angers on loan.

Thomas Partey to Arsenal (for £45million) would not only be the biggest deal of the day, but also one of the signings of the window.
He has been a long-term target for Mikel Arteta. We know he is a defensive midfielder, but I just think that the dynamism he will bring to midfield will really suit Arteta's style of play and would be an excellent acquisition.
West Ham United
David Blackmore, Blowing Bubbles:
I'm sad to see Josh Cullen leave West Ham, but it felt inevitable he was never going to make it at West Ham.
I was excited to see him make his debut in 2015 and had high hopes of him joining Declan Rice in breaking into the first team.
But now he's become the third academy product to leave the London Stadium this summer after Jeremy Ngakia and Grady Diangana. It leaves me asking; Why?
Either our Academy isn't producing players good enough to play for West Ham, which given our struggles in recent years is a bit of a worry, or we're unwilling to give youth a chance and cash in on the raw talent we're producing rather nurturing it.
Or maybe it's the world we live in with the value of staying in the Premier League is now too much to even consider giving a youngster a run of games, and the mistakes that would undoubtedly follow.
I hope Josh excels at Anderlecht under former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany. I hope he gets consistent top-flight games, and I hope to see him back at London Stadium in the future.

Former Man City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
I think it just gets to a stage where the manager just doesn't trust you. I had a period under Dean Smith where I was fit enough to play but not fit enough for the standard they wanted. I lost their belief and their trust.
I think for Jack Wilshere now, managers just don't trust him anymore, and it's sad because I don't like to see that of any player. He's still only 28 and we all know he's got great ability but he just hasn't managed to do it often enough and unfortunately for him, injury has played a massive part in it.
I feel his pain. When you've been hampered by so many injuries and you're trying to get back and trying to prove to people you can do it and you're almost trying too hard, I feel for him.
He's only 28 and he's still got time. We know he's not going to be a top four - maybe not even top eight player anymore, there will be someone out there that will trust him.

Manchester United have offered Chris Smalling a nice send off after he completed his move to AS Roma.
A chronology of his United career concludes with this: "Everyone at Manchester United would like to thank Chris for his years of service, dedication and professionalism, and wish him all the best for his future."
There are plenty who feel that Smalling should be in United's defence at the moment.
Just two hours to go now before the window shuts on international transfers to the Premier League.
GET ON WITH IT!
Here's a reminder of the big domestic deals done and potential moves that we know of so far.
