This game certainly needs a spark, is James Maddison the man to provide it?
He is on for Dennis Praet.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Big opportunity for Aston Villa as they are suddenly three on two with John McGinn leading the charge. Ollie Watkins makes a good run into the box but McGinn decides to cut back to Trezeguet on the edge of the box and it is the wrong decision as the pass is cut out.

James Justin goes down under a challenge by Matty Cash. Justin is down inside the box but a free kick to Leicester is given as replays show the initial foul took place just outside.
Youri Tielemans goes for goal but Emiliano Martinez is equal to the effort.

That is the difference. Jamie Vardy does drop in sometimes but as soon as he gives it he is running straight back up to stretch the pitch and keep those centre-halves honest.
Kelechi Iheanacho takes the ball, plays it back well, wriggles out of a hole but then just stands still. Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa are then just stood there with their hands on their hips waiting for something to do.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Leicester have been quiet so far in this half but they do almost take the lead when Youri Tielemans' speculative effort from distance deflects off Tyrone Mings and needs Emiliano Martinez to dive at full stretch to keep it out.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
I say Jack Grealish is everywhere but he's actually covered the least amount of ground of any Aston Villa outfield player with 5.14km.
Ross Barkley instead is the one doing all the chasing having covered 6.64km so far in this game.

Chris Sutton is quite right when he says Virgil Van Dijk is irreplaceable for Liverpool. Yellow cards are waved around freely by referees for a tug of the shirt, a slight push, a minor foul, etc but Jordan Pickford got nothing for what Graeme Souness described as an assault on Van Dijk. Pickford should be banned retrospectively until Van Dijk is fit to play again.

Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Jack Grealish is such a good player to watch. It feels like he is everywhere on the pitch tonight, he is certainly central to every Aston Villa attack and more trickery from him wins the visitors another corner. This time John McGinn's delivery is cleared.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Ezri Konsa heads Jack Grealish's corner just wide of the post and that was close for Aston Villa - closest they've come to a goal so far.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Lovely footwork by Jack Grealish as he flicks the ball past Timothy Castagne and the Leicester defender puts in a frustrated late challenge on the England midfielder.
The free kick is headed on by Tyrone Mings but Leicester clear.
Aston Villa have started this half well.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Jack Grealish plays in Matt Targett on the left side of the box. Targett breezes into the area but his cross to the near post is stabbed away. Grealish is onto the loose ball and tries to find Trezeguet but James Justin is alert to put the ball behind for a corner.

Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live's 606 phone-in
First and foremost we hope Virgil van Dijk makes a full and speedy recovery, but the effect this could have on Liverpool's season is huge, with massive implications.
He is their rock at the back, their organiser. Simply put, he is irreplaceable. It's going to have a massive impact on their season, it has to have.
They are going to have to somehow fill that void. He is such a big player for them.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Right, there will be goals in this half because the stats say so. Ten of Leicester's 12 Premier League goals this season have come in the second half.
We're back under way.

Michael Grimwood: Before today there had been 32 goals in 7 games involving Leicester and Aston Villa. Half time 0-0 Pretty much sums this season up.
HT: Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
A fair reflection of the game with possession stats in the first half pretty even.
Only three shots on target - all by Leicester players but Aston Villa have had their moments.

Seriousface: In rugby, any deliberate (or cynical) defending that slows down an attack should receive 10 minutes on the sidelines. Football really should catch on. A booking is no real deterrent, a red probably ruins the game for the spectator.

It's been a good half for Leicester. It's a case of after the lord mayor's show for Villa, having beaten Liverpool 7-2. We were expecting them to come out of the blocks, while Leicester were hampered with having Jamie Vardy out and missing a couple of others. But Leicester have been the better team.
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa
Indeed it is the last kick of the half.
Not a classic. The chances of this season's first Premier League goalless draw are rapidly increasing.
