    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

A late bit of pressure from Aston Villa. Leicester's defending is scrappy but they do just enough before winning a free kick that will likely be the last kick of the half.

David Smith: Professional fouls where the player makes ZERO attempt for the ball should be a red card not a yellow....

How can the ref go back to give a yellow card but give the free kick further down the pitch? Makes no sense.

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

Ollie Watkins is slipped in on the right but Wesley Fofana stays with him and deflects the striker's shot behind. The flag goes up for offside, but replays show Watkins was on. Aston Villa should have had a corner.

If Harvey Barnes gets away he is in down the left. He has got acres of space. He slipped, didn't manage to get the tackle in but stopped the player by literally pulling his shorts all the way down and made sure he wasn't getting away from him. I would say that is a good yellow at that stage of the game.

Now Aston Villa have the chance to do something with a promising free kick just outside the area but Matt Targett can't keep his effort down and it sails high over the bar.

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

    Obvious foul is obvious.

Harvey Barnes wins a battle with Matty Cash and is about to get away until Cash grabs Barnes' shorts with both hands and pulls him back.

Cash, unsurprisingly, is booked but it worked out well in the end as the Leicester free kick comes to nothing.

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

Things are a bit more even now after Leicester had the better of the early stages.

An Aston Villa corner is cleared but the visitors pick up the ball and attack again through Ollie Watkins, who can't find a team-mate with a lofted ball into the box.

Chris Fletcher: To Dave in Walsall at 19:42, no they/we don't.

Chris has a point Dave. Aston Villa can only go second with a win tonight. But they could go top if they win both their games in hand on leaders Everton.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 32 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

A darting run by Jack Grealish is brought to a halt by a late challenge by Ayoze Perez, who gets the game's first yellow card as a result.

  13. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

Ollie Watkins was sensational against Liverpool, scoring a hat-trick in the 7-2 win but its been a quiet game so far for the striker. He's had just five touches of the ball, the fewest of any player on the pitch.

Aston Villa are playing a high-block and getting caught.

Every time Leicester get it in between the Aston Villa lines they seem to have the opportunity to play someone in on goal or have a shot.

That has got to be a real worry to Villas as they are clear opportunities to shoot, not half-chances.

  15. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

Lovely cutback by Jack Grealish into the middle of the box and Trezeguet is onto to it but places his shot just wide of the post under perssure from James Justin.
