  1. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Charlie Taylor swings a deep cross in and picks out Chris Wood. He gets his head on it but it's comfortable for Mat Ryan.

  2. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

It has been pretty good from Burnley so far. They are keeping the ball and getting plenty of touches in.

Brighton look content though. Neither team has really cut open the opposition since that slip from Ben Mee allowed Danny Welbeck through in the opening minute.

Brighton are dropping off - they're happy for Burnley to have the ball. Burnley are playing some good football going forward with the two forwards but they need to be very careful that they don't leave themselves open to a Brighton counter-attack.

Waza: Just like Bournemouth last season Burnley deserve to go down. As a club they've stopped trying to be better. I don't like clubs that don't try to be better.

Yaw: They shouldn't worry because they are yet to play Utd and they'll get their win.

Khun: Hope for Burnley, so Utd don't drop to 16th.

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Neal Maupay plays a nice one-two on the edge of the box and has space to pick out a teammate when he gets in behind on the left.

But he takes far too long on the ball and someone comes in and nicks it off him. It's cleared only as far as Pascal Gross but he thumps it over the bar.

  6. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Tariq Lamptey beats Matt Lowton on the left with a quick shift onto his left foot. He chips it into the box for Danny Welbeck, but he's fouled the defender.

Ben Mee then slips again on the far side as he manages to win a throw-in for Burnley. Get him some new studs!

  7. 'You've got to keep your head'published at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

    Tony Pulis
Former Portsmouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Both managers will understand there's a long way to go - you've just got to keep your head when things aren't going your way and you're on bad runs and in the Premier League that happens. You've got to manage yourself as much as anything and keeping everybody buoyant and positive and making sure they're ready for the next game. Because you can win two games and get six points and then that takes you half way up the table.

  8. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Really sloppy from Brighton. It's given away to Dwight McNeil in their half and he slips it through to Ashley Barnes.

He has three defenders around him and ends up giving away a free-kick. Little harsh?

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 4 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Matt Lowton is given far too much space again on the right. He drives forward then curls another cross in.

It's too heavy but swings onto the crossbar at the last minute and bounces down in front of Chris Wood.

Mat Ryan scrambles as it hits Wood's shin and rolls inches past his post but the Burnley striker had pushed the defender in the build-up and is penalised.

  10. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Matthew Lowton fizzes a dangerous ball in from the right as Burnley push forward in numbers.

Adam Webster has to slide across for Brighton and just about touches it back to his keeper.

  11. CLOSE!published at 1 min

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

    What a chance!

It's played long and into the Burnley box. Ben Mee slips and Danny Welbeck is in. He cuts it back to Tariq Lamptey, who is unmarked in the middle, but he skies it over the bar.

    He should score!

  12. 'No reason Burnley can't pick something up'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

    Tony Pulis
Former Portsmouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Burnley have had injuries to important players - looking at that team tonight it's probably the best team Sean Dyche can pick. If he can keep these players fit and they get a bit of luck and things run for them then there's no reason they can't pick something up tonight.

It will be an interesting night tonight because Burnley play their way, they get the ball forward, they back it up, they're completely different to Brighton who will want to play through the channels.

It should be a good game - it's cold but it's a fabulous night to play football.

It's chilly as anything by the looks of it in Brighton. The players have just had a decent warm-up and are heading to the changing rooms to get ready now.

  19. 'Things are even worse for Burnley'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    Brighton v Burnley (17:30 GMT)

Brighton have not been playing badly but have not won for quite a while now.

Things are even worse for Burnley, who are bottom with only one point from six games so far. Like the Seagulls, they will feel a bit hard done by because some of their performances have deserved more of a reward.

I am going for a Brighton win here, but I am not confident about that because I know what Burnley are like and how quickly they can turn things around.

They have been on poor runs under Sean Dyche before and sometimes they just go 'bang' and suddenly look like a different and much-improved team - because of their manager as much as anything else.
